...
It is nothing but a dream. A dream, where one beauty like myself, becomes a freak. It was three years ago, on the day when I turned thirteen, on that fateful day: June 26, 2009.
I wake up to a sudden coldness, I'm already shaking, and looking about curiously. I realize that I'm not in my room, but a park...? No, a forest.
Everything is dark. Only the moon is glowing, along with the tiny specks of stars, that give little light to the dark area, where I lay. I'm too afraid to move, for fear that animals may be watching me, and will attack. But they don't.
I begin to weep quietly, for the buzzing sound in my head grows louder, and thrashes in my skull. I scream in agony, no longer able to keep silent, and curl up in a ball. My hands fisting together and I mumble incoherently about the pain. Tears stream down my face as I begin to stand up and walk around helplessly. When the anxiety took over, I became desperate. I start calling out, "Lannie? Minnie? I'm sorry for whatever I did. I promise, i'll behave. Please don't leave me here! PLEASE!"
Suddenly a voice tells me, "They are not here. For, they are not of this time. For this today, is known to be the Before of the today, of which you come from."
I furrow my eyes in confusion and look in the shadows to see green flashing eyes that held wisdom, but by the tone of his voice, it was of a boy who was no older than I. "What do you mean? Who are you? Where am I?" I ask, hopelessly.
"Ah, you'll find out soon enough. I will tell you however that our kind is called Lost Ones. And this is the Before, to you, who was born in the Between, or 'present' of which time period you were put in."
"How- How do I go back?" I stuttered.
"Find the voices that speak to you. It all depends on what is your Before, Between, and After." The green-eyed boy replied.
"What about you? Will I see you again?" I ask.
"Perhaps we already have, or not. But as we are the Lost Ones, I am sure we will the time will come." He answers. Then he says something, in a language I didn't recognized, and disappeared into the night, the way he came.
And I was alone.
I knew now, that that time had come, to see him again, and I grin, once more. Now, I am not all alone.
