Apollo ran down the winding corridors of Hereford base alongside Frost, and finally got to Six's door. As he opened the door he found himself pulling out a glock-18 at the man sitting at the head of the table.
'Six': WOAH STAND DOWN SOLDIER
Apollo: Six, who the hell is this?
Six: The new Six, Dr. Harvisha Pandey. I've been promoted, so will no longer be of service here
At the mention of his name, the man now dubbed Harry straightened his suit jacket, corrected his glasses and gave Frost and Apollo a warming smile.
Harry: I apologise for the inconvenience....?
Apollo: Jack 'Apollo' Vyn
Harry: Well Jack, I hope we can get of on a better foot, what do you think?
Apollo nodded as he and Harry shook hands.
Harry: So, Lets get down to business.
He handed Jack a file as Finka burst through the door, slightly out of breath.
Finka: Hi Harry, so what's the mission?
Harry: Always straight to the point Lera, how refreshing.
He chuckled to himself lightly and began projecting the brief on the board
OPERATION: YELLOW PHOENIX
OPERATORS: FINKA, APOLLO, FROST, [REDACTED], [REDACTED]
LOCATION: AFGHANISTAN
OBJECTIVE: SECURE HVT FOR QUESTIONING
*USE LETHAL FORCE IF NECESSARY*
Apollo
I finished skimming over the briefing then handed it to Finka, and asked Harry what was nagging me.Apollo: So those redacted people, who are they?
Harry: you'll find out when you get there, won't you?
Apollo: helpful as always I see. Alright squad, lets get going.
On approach to the heli, the two 'redacted' people revealed themselves, leaning on the edge of the Helicopter.
???: Ciao, I'm Black, and this guys Rossi
He said, pointing over to his left
Apollo: Real names?
Rossi: That's a no friend, we're strictly here for business, think of it as a contract.
Apollo: Ah whatever. The names Jack, Apollo on missions, these two are Finka and Frost
I shook hands with the two, silently pleased with their professionalism. I saw Rossi shoot Tina a look, so squeezed his hand a bit harder and shot him a glare. From the way he looked after, it's safe to say he'd be 6 feet under if looks could kill. With a less than pleasant introduction over, we hopped in the heli, eager at what could possibly await us. Part of it didn't sit well with me, I was curious if this mission was more than Harry said it was, having hired a PMC to work with us. My questions would soon be answered, wether that would be sooner or later would be another matter in itself.

Frost sat silently in the helicopter between Jack and Lera, checking her C1 and Mk-1 out of nervousness compulsively. Apollo seemed to take note of this and lay a hand on her shoulder, which visibly seemed to calm her nerves. Attempting to ease the sense of awkwardness, Jack tried to make conversation.
Apollo: So, what unit are you guys from?
Black: GIS, what about you?
Apollo: Britain's finest, SAS. Also did a couple years in Delta afterwards.
Finka: GIS? You'd get along with Aria and Adriano.
Apollo: heh, I suppose they would.
Rossi: Don't mind my intrusion, but why is an Englishman in an American unit?
Apollo: You heard of Operation Cobra Strike? (Literally just made this up on the spot it's not lore... i dont think :) ) Well I was part of that as a joint operation. Afterwards, the CO recommended I go for the Delta selection. Years later, I'm here."
Frost: delta? We have an operator here, do you think you'd know them?
Apollo: as a matter of fact, I do. Erik came over to me and said it was nice to see his old pal again.
Frost: I never knew the two of you met.
Apollo: Yea, joint operation somewhere in the sand box (Afghanistan). As much as I'd love to continue conversation, we've got a long flight ahead of ourselves, let's get some sleep while we can.
The 4 all agreed in unison, as I put in my headphones, laid my head back and got ready for flight ahead of us.
First, I'd like to apologise this took so long, I was very 50/50 about how to write this. I'll be doing a Christmas chapter, then part 2. Music also isn't related, play it if you wish :)
