After that fateful incident of the wall taco meat, Bucky and Valerie grew closer. They had hour long conversations about his life prior to HYDRA and what his aspirations had been back in the day.
Bucky had become more of a Curious George to all of Valerie's shirts. They were filled with saying and quotes, pictures and places he didn't recognize. At first he thought they were places and people from other states in America. He soon learned they were from an entirely different state.

A state of fiction.
On a Sunny and bright Thursday Bucky popped a question.
"Who are Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs?" He asked with a small voice. It was just a peep louder but still considered small.
Valerie smiled slightly as he was glancing at the teacups she had said those four words.
"Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs are the Marauders. They are from the Harry Potter universe. They were basically a group of pranksters who called each other those names. They're just nicknames. Moony is really a werewolf named Remus Lupin. Wormtail is Peter Pettigrew, Padfoot is a man named Surius Black, and Prongs is Harry Potter's deceased father; James Potter. Everybody who is a Harry Potter fan loves them." She explained as she poured tea in two of the cups labeled 'Padfoot' and 'Moony.' She gave the 'Moony' cup to Bucky as they sat down to sip tea and make small talk.
There was a silence before Bucky spoke up. "Can you read me the books?" He asked curiously.
Valerie's eyes sparkled happily. A sparkle that had been described as Dumbledore's was.
"OF COURSE! AND WE CAN WATCH THE MOVIES TOO!" She shouted.
The sides of Bucky's lips curled upwards. "Why did you fill Moony and Padfoot? Are those your favourites?" He asked.
She blushes slightly. "Uhm... Yes. And well... Moony and Padfoot are shipped by many Harry Potter fans... I ship them too.." She said. A while back she had already explained shipping to Bucky.
Bucky smirked in a boyish way that hadn't been seen in many years. Everybody had thought that HYDRA had taken away all of Bucky's humanity and humour. But he had an unrelenting spirit. Bucky fought. Bucky fought a lot. And for this very second he smirked.
"Oh really? So... I'm Moony and your Padfoot?" He said with a hint of mischief.
Valerie was blushing wildly.
"I can be the Remus to your Sirius.." He joked.
Valerie still said nothing as she got out the DVDs. In the back you could hear Bucky's faint voice.
"I might just enjoy Harry Potter..."
