Chapter 14

Juan's POV

I sat in Mia's room along with Jas and JayJay. She looked so peaceful, she was image of an angel sent from above. I watched her and try to put the morning's headline out of mind. It was upsetting enough that the man I had trust betrayed me and the woman I love is now in this bed.  I sighed and took her hands in mine.

“Baby you gotta fight harder. Pull through this for us. We need you-Jasmine, JayJay and I. I am nothing without you...I know we just started this relationship but I wanna take it to the next level Ma. If you ain't here how do expect me to cope? You're different and I like that. You have your past and I have my secrets too; secrets that I want to share, I have dreams of you and our lil bebe. Well that's if you and Jas are up for it tho. I want you to accept me and not break me like Sophie did. She wrecked us....our boat sunk but you came along and rescued me and we're sailing together to the future. A future with happiness, hope, love, faith and greatness. I want to go the extra mile Ma. Come back to me.”

I felt a grip on my shoulder as tears pricked my eyes for the first in decades. Jas held my shoulder and JayJay's hand and started singing a song in a tone that sound like a prayer and song of praise and gratitude.

“Well Lord we don't this often but at a time like this we ain't got nobody else but you to confide in. We know that we ain't perfect and we living the fast life that pretty much not good or pleasing to you. You DA man so we ask you for our forgiveness. We are a family and we asked dear God for you to bring is closer than before. I don't know what you doing as it is concerned with Mia but Lord I'm begging man help her to get through this. Just like a body without bones we aint nothing without her. We need the strength to cope and be victorious in the end but to be all that we need you on our side to grant this. Yow we sorry for what we've done but man ain't nobody perfect. We goin change for the best and I pray for your grace and your mercy, the strength and wisdom. We thank you God as you work on this and bring back Mia to us. Lord we thank you for the recovery she going have hopefully. This is all I gotta say tho man. We love ya and we say peace till the next time we meet or talk again. Love ya from us Pa,” prayed JayJay after which we hugged each other as we held on mom's hand.
