"No, it's not funny," Hazel whined when he was trying to console her by telling jokes."I'm the best joke maker, why isn't it funny?" He attempts to make one again but Hazel just burst into tears again while playing the handkerchief he offered a while ago. They both were sat on the green grass in the private garden. The entrance wasn't that expensive and he thought it was his treat for her since she's not feeling good today.
"I want to leave the house, I am not ready to face mom and dad with this kind of news."
He looks at his friend's state with pity. He never wanted the news she told him, it made him angry but what can he do? He thinks, if he became angry after hearing her, what more when it was her parents who heard it?
"Why do you think so?"
"I don't want them to meddle my decisions." His pupils widen as he look straight at Hazel who was staring at the handkerchief.
"What's your decision?"
"I won't abort this child," she told. His heart beats faster, all of sudden hearing her words. Does she want to keep the child without the father? Why did she suddenly think of abortion?
"Why do you think about abortion?" He asks, lost in his thoughts.
"You could know me, but you don't know my parents," she sobbed. "If I told them about this unborn baby out of a one-night stand, they'd tell me to terminate it so I could marry the stranger they planned to pair me with."
He was moved by the way of her thinking. She can think of what was happening already, maybe it was because she knew her parents' behavior when it comes to that thing and this thing. The second thing that made him move was her parents' behavior, they can do that to the unborn child? What will arranged married would give a benefit to their family? Money, popularity, is it more important to them than the happiness of their daughter?
He looks away and sighed. He never thought even rich kids also go through a lot of problems. His judgments were not true about them, he was wrong.
"Even if I did it as a mistake—" she stops. Zavier's ears pop as soon as she speaks. "No, this is not a mistake for me, it's a blessing," she seems to calm down a bit. "I won't abort this even if I would raise her alone, I would do it..." Zavier gulps and smiles at his friend.
He knows that even if she was surrounded by luxurious things, her heart never changes, her personality stays the same. That's the most thing he's proud of her. Never in her life get angry or get giddy by just one thing. She never claims something as hers as soon as possible. She knows what's wrong and what's right, she matures way more than her age. She has a lot of wisdom.
"I don't think if I can live without you," he murmured. Hazel popped her head towards him, her ears became deaf for a second and her mind can't absorb so much information.
"Hmm?" She's asking for his pardon.
"Nothing," he answered. He looks at the front to see the blue, clear sky from far. "I love the sky," he said.
As Hazel turned to look at the sky, she felt a little relief, for a moment. She still felt the weight of her shoulder. She wants to end everything now but she doesn't know what was stopping her. She's exhausted. The girl beside Zayveir took a deep breath while closing her eyes, letting the last tear falls down her eyes.
A hand wrapped around her shoulder, patting it gently. She turn her head before opening her eyes and it landed on Zayvier. He smiles and his eyes glistened as she stared at them. "It will gonna be alright, don't be scared..." She couldn't be described how his words did to her heart as it feels warm and relieved. "If everything seems so wrong, don't forget that I got your back, you can always run to me." A wide sweet smile, he always wanted to see every day crept out of her lips that it made his heart beats faster.
He pulled her a little as her head falls onto his shoulder as they watch the sky and the flowers. The feelings occupying the two friends make them don't want to let go of each other. They want to stop the time, if only they could so they could be staying in that time.
It feels so right that he was right beside her and vice versa. Everything seems so fine when they're together... They can forget everything for a moment and would surely have fun.
"Have you found anything new?" The guy sitting in the swivel chair turns around, facing his man with a stern look.
"Nothing, sir," he replied. His boss looks at him from top to bottom, having a different thought.
"Tomorrow, make sure you will ready everything. You should know where her parents are before doing your business. After then, kill her parents too." The guy standing while looking down bowed before turning his shoes to leave.
The boss watches his man walking towards the door to leave. He surely knew something is suspicious to him. He gritted his teeth at the thought before calling his other man.
"Hey," Hazel called, wanting some attention from her friend.
"Hmm?" He was busy watching marathoning in her room while she was busy reading.
"I want some ice cream. Can you buy me one?" The mention of the food makes his head look at her.
"You still have ice cream there?"
Her head constantly shaking from left to right. "I only have chocolate there. I want strawberry and spaghetti." She smiles cheekily, for him to agree as soon as possible. All she was eating was junk food which was not good for her and the baby.
"No junk food for now," he says before looking back at the screen to continue what he was watching. "Let's see the doctor first before you eat that." She frowns. How can he decline her request? She pouted, looking back at the book she was reading.
In the middle of reading, she thought of foods again. She looks up and smile sweetly at Zayvier who was already looking at her, wanted to say something. "Could you buy me something to munch? I want to nyum nyum nyum," she motions her mouth.
He looks at her like she was a kind of strange person. "Pizza is also junk food I'll cook corn pasta...? You want that?"
"With broccoli?" Her eyes glisten up as soon as she heard he will be cooking for her. She vigorously nods her head without hearing his response. "I would love it!" He smiles and looks down.
He climbs down her bed and went to the door which was beside where Hazel was sitting. "You want to go with me or just stay here?"
"I'll watch you," she giggles. She stood down the book and stand up, carefully and hold his hand so they could walk down the stars.
To be continued.
