It had been a month since Dime had entered this new world. She found people who shared similar experiences. Something she found out is that not all guardian angels look like angels.
Guardian angels often look like the ones they care about the most. Dime cared about her lover, Dree and that is who she looked like, With black hair with two streaks of red and dusky colored skin. Dime missed her world, but this one is better. This world, where you can be free, was better than the place where she felt caged. She missed her parents, but she decided that they were better off without her.
As Dime was lost in her thoughts, she heard the familiar voice of her guardian angel. "DIME!" She shouted from a distance, flying towards her at full speed. Dime smiled. Over time, she found out more about Dot and had access to places most guardian angels don't.
"Hey Dime, do you want to go see a movie?" Dot asked
"Is that a question or a request to go to the movies with you?".
"Both!"
"Let's go then" Dime replied, smiling
"Before we go, I got permission to go to the special movie area with the one I have to protect!"
"Sounds fun! Let's go"
Dot smiled at her enthusiasm and started to lead the way. Dot always seemed to smile at her, Sometimes Dot reminded her of Dree, Maybe a more child-like version of her
A few minutes later they reached their destination. Dime scouted the area. The place looked more like a greenhouse than a theatre. It was a crystal dome with dark purple flowers around it. The dome's colour seemed to change with every step they took towards it. It would go from pastel pink with blue hues scattered around, to purple with dark blue hues. The entrance was just as grand. With a large 'WELCOME' sign, spelt in silver. A tall, lavender-colored pillar stood next to the entrance door on which silver letters spelled many names, the reason why was unknown.
While Dime admired the architecture of the theatre, Dot called out to her. "Dime come on the movie is going to start!. Dime gave a nod and followed Dot to the theatre. The interiors were just as grand as the anteriors. Red carpets with golden lining leading to many rooms with floors that looked like marble, The walls were covered in a deep magenta wallpaper with many paintings right next to the glass doors. Dime couldn't help but admire the paintings.
"This place looks more like a palace than a theatre". Dime thought to herself
"This is the room!" Dot turned her head to face Dime as she opened one of the many glass doors.
Dime expected to see fancy leather couches with a server attending to their every need, instead, she was met with a two-seater sofa with a circular coffee table in front. Even though it looked so out of place compared to the theatre, it felt oddly familiar. She sat on the right side of the couch and waited for Dot. She felt the soft fabric under her palms. As she inspected the sofa, she found a dark stain. She remembered the time when she spilled a few drops of coffee in her old home, and how she tried everything to get rid of the ugly stain. She smiled at the memory. It was only then it hit her,
"Dot" She called before continuing "This place"
"Looks a lot like a part of your old house, doesn't it?"
"Yes it does, a bit too accurate which is kinda creepy"
Dot didn't answer, she went behind the couch and pressed a few buttons. "The movie is going to start now".
Dime noticed how Dot sounded different, from her usual excited voice to a more glum one. She did not know why but decided to ask about it later. She turned to look at the screen when Dot asked,
