This is a GxG story, and again, the lines this part is centered around is in the top pic ^ enjoy 😊

It started with a splash; Maddox was dumping her latest kill, but just as the lifeless body hit the water, she heard a voice;
"Was that a body?" Another girl asked, no fear in her voice despite being in the presence of a professional hitman who's wanted across multiple countries. Said hitman pulled out her gun and prepared for another casualty on her hands, before the other woman spoke again.

"My dad was a professional debt-collector. Not too different right? I'm not sure..." her words faded into nothing and a look of deep thought graced her goddess-like face. Maddox was confused for a minute, before snapping out of her shock and aiming the gun back at the girls face. The girl in question was brought back to reality by the soft click of the gun. But, instead of looking fearful, she seemed unfazed.

"I'm Jollie, what's your name?" She smiled at Maddox, no hint of deception in her hazel eyes. Maddox recoiled, so confused about the situation that she answered without thinking;
"I'm Maddox. Why are you here?"
"I was going for a walk but saw you and decided to say hello, but you pointed a gun at my head and clearly don't want me here so I'll be leaving now." Jollie left with a happy little wave over her shoulder at Maddox, who was still frozen with shock.

~the next day~

Maddox was at a cafe, like a normal person with a normal occupation. Hey, if you're gonna kill people for a living night as well make the most out of it. But, you guessed it, she heard a familiar voice behind her;

"Oh, hi!" Jollie chirped like the happiest bean ever.
"What are you doin' here?!" Maddox hissed at her.
"What, I can't come and get coffee?" She asked with a puppy pout that almost automatically broke Maddox's shitty attitude into pieces. "Can I sit?"
"Um- sure?" Jollies smile somehow got wider and she skipped over to the seat across from Maddox.

~an hour later~

"So, what got you into, ya know," Jollie leaned closer to Maddox, whispering, "killing things." Maddox quickly shushed her;
"Not here!" She hissed, then got up. "I've got to go, I have... an appointment," why was she so open with this Jollie bitch? And why was Jollie so hot....
"Ooh, can I come?"
"What? Why?"
"You could say, I'm a little insane in the membrane," Jollie replied with a cute little smile.

That's how their relationship bloomed to friendship, a crush, dating and marriage. They had a cute little wedding, small and cheap. No one came for Maddox except her older brother, who knew about her line of work but couldn't love her more. For Jollie, her parents, older and younger sister, a dozen friends and their husbands and wives came to give the couple their blessings. Maddox was the happiest she could ever be, and Jollie wouldn't change her out for the world.

~a year later~

Maddox was out a little too late, a victim was a little more feisty then she anticipated, plus she forgot her coat that Jollie reminded her to bring a thousand times. All of that, and the fact that it was 30 degrees outside, made her sick. Just a cold but she hated being sick.

"Babe, I'm home," Maddox called out to Jollie as she dropped her bag at the door.
"In the kitche- are you sick?" Jollie yelled back. She had this slightly annoying habit of always knowing when something was wrong. It drove Maddox bananas.

"... noooo," she said from the living room, removing her bra without taking off her shirt (a skill I am years from perfecting).
"Uh huh, come here so I can take your temperature," Jollie chirped, walking in, without pants. She almost never wore clothes at home cause "they're uncomfortable and unnecessary". She took Maddox's temperature and raised an eyebrow at her.
"See? 101! I told you to wear a jacket!" Jollie scolded, ushering Maddox to their bedroom.

After Maddox was cocooned like a baby in blankets, Jollie went to make her some chicken noodle soup. It tasted amazing, everything Jollie makes does.

After Maddox finished her meal, she sneezed, an absolutely adorable kitten sneeze. Maddox blushed and Jollie snorted as Maddox told her to shut up. Afterwards, Jollie and Maddox fell asleep cuddling tightly.

The next day~

"Uuuugghhhhh I'm dyinnngggg," Maddox groaned, pulling the six fluffy blankets she was swaddled in tighter around her body. Jollie chuckled, running a hand through Maddox's soft red locks.
"You're not dying, baby," Jollie tried to assure her, but Maddox wasn't having it.
"Lies," she hissed, only her squinting eyes visible under the mass of blankets and pillows she was under. "Get me a pen, I need to write my will!" As Jollie snorted, her Beyoncé ringtone went off as her sisters contact popped up on the little screen.

Jollie picked it up and answered it.
"Hey sis, how ya doin?" (Italics are for the phone)
"I'm good, how about you?"
"I'm good, what're calling about?"
"Me and Callum are going to the mall later (Callum is Rebecca's BF), wanna come?"
"Sorry, I have a clingy and feverish assassin on my lap and she's not gonna be coherent any time soon. I'll make it up you when I've convinced her that a cold doesn't mean she's gonna die."
Becky snorted. "Ok, hope you get better, Maddie!"
"Thanks, Becky, tell Callum I said hi," Maddox chimed, feeling a little better as Jollie gently scratched at her scalp.

After a few more minutes of chatting with Becky, Jollie hung up and looked down at Maddox, who was on the verge of sleep. She leaned down and kissed her nose.
"Sleep tight, love."
