Hey, I noticed in the first chapter that I put Chris instead of Jake for the boyfriend name because he was originally gonna be Chris but I never changed it so sorry.

Lauren's POV

after that fight with jake school seemed to go real slow. I had to go to the nurse to get bandaged from what happened with Jake. he got sent to the office for starting a fight.

After school was finally over I go to my locker and take out what i need when I feel arms go around my waist.

"Hey babe" Jake.

"don't 'hey babe' me" I say and throw his arms off me

"wait what did I do?" he asks with a confused look on his face

"what did you- what did you do?! you beat me up in front of almost the whole school!" I reply aggravated

"oh yeah, I'm sorry about-"

"No" I cut him off "no I'm done with your 'im sorrys' im done getting beat up by MY own boyfriend just because I want to go see my brother in jail who actually cares about me, unlike you. im just done with you." I say and walk out the door.

I don't have a car because my mom took it with her to California so I start walking to the jail which is about 20 minutes away.

Once I get to the jail I go up to the desk

"um I'm here to see James Parker"

"alright, you can go in"

Jason's POV

I wake up with another pain in my back from these uncomfortable beds. I see someone walk by my cell, it was a girl and she had a lot of bandages on her.

"oh my god Lauren what happened?!" I hear from down the hall, her name must be Lauren. I wonder how I've never seen her before.

Lauren stays and talks to him for about a half an hour before she gets up to leave

"Hey you" I say in her direction as she's leaving

"y-yes?" she slowly turns toward me

"what- um - what happened to you?"

"oh, my boyfriend sort of beat me up"

I was shocked. I mean what kind of person would treat her like that?

I looked at her for a while, studying her features. she had beautiful brown hair tied up in a ponytail and the bluest eyes I've ever seen.

"oh, I'm sorry for that, what's your name?"

"I'm Lauren. you?" she replies, putting a slight smile on her face. wow , she had a beautiful smile.

"I'm uh, Jason" I put the same sort of smile on my face. wow I forgot what it was like to smile.

"oh." she said looking around my cell.

"do you wanna uh, stay here and talk or something?" I say sounding a little desperate.

"uh sure" she said with another smile.

" okay, so how old are you?"

"18 how about you?"

"same" I say as she sits down in front of my cell.

"oh cool, uh... why are you in here?"

"oh, because someone couldn't really keep their mouth shut, that's all you need to know."

as the words sink into her she flinches.

I laugh a little "don't worry, I won't hurt you." I smiled a little

"well I should probably get going" she says as she stands up

"come back tomorrow? I ask her as she looks at me

"yeah of course" she smile and waves as she leaves

Wow, she is so beautiful and I love how she just stayed and talked instead of being scared of me like most people.

- A week later, Jason's POV -

me and Lauren have gotten really close sense we first met and I'm so happy about that.

"so when are you getting out of here?" she asks confused

"4 years" I sigh and look up at her

"4 years?" she says as her eyes tear up

"why are you crying?" I asked going closer to her

"I'm sorry I'm really emotional" she says and I wipe her tear through the jail bars.

"it's okay, everyone gets emotional sometimes" I smile and she smiles back.

"your the nicest person I've ever met, even if you are in a jail" she says still smiling and kisses my cheek through the bars

"thanks, you too" my smile a little bit bigger now

"McCann" the guards voice boomed through the halls

I groan " sorry, I have this weekly search that the make me do" I say as I stand up

the guard unlocked my cell as Lauren moved out of the way

Once the guard checks all my pockets he looks at Lauren.

"and you are?" he asks with a straight face

"I - I'm Lauren, Jason's friend."

"oh, well i'll leave you two" as the guard locks me back up.

"I should probably get going, ill see you tomorrow" she smiles and kisses my cheek through the bars

- Lauren's POV -

I had the best idea, I have been saving up money over the past few years so I had a certain question to ask.

I find the same guard who searched Justin.

"um excuse me" I say as the guard turns around

"um how much is it to bail someone out?"
