Safe Haven

The Beginning

Everything was great, i was a cheerful and bubbly child until my family started falling apart. My mom caught my dad cheating with her secretary, mom almost took her own life because she couldn't take it all in anymore, our business was severely affected. I almost lost my sane because i got caught up in between, there was nothing i could do back then, i was just a little child, but i absolutely know what was going on, and it was a mess back then. Everything was slowly drifting apart, the family that everyone adored and desired was destroyed into pieces.

I bawled my eyes out every night wishing and praying that i'd do anything, i was willing to trade my own life just to undo the damage that my dad has cause in this family because it pains me so much to hear mom cry day and night. It torments me to see her miserable, but i couldn't just cry inside my room and hope that everything will go back to the way it was. One day i just found myself waking up like nothing happened, it took months before my mom put aside all of her agony and anger but i'm happy we were able to stand up again.

And now, here we are. I can't say that we're the happiest but we are happy. We're contented and most importantly, we survived.
