Safe Haven

Chapter 1.

"Thank you so much, Ms. claire! We are very grateful to have you here with us. I was thinking if you would like to grab a coffee with me, i know a famous café just across the building." Ms. Sara the interviewer said.

"I'd really love to but i have an urgent meeting i need to attend to. Maybe some other time Ms. Sara, thank you so much tho!" i said a bit apologetic but she just chuckled. "I knew you would say that, you're a very successful person in such a young age, your parents must be so proud of you!"

I can feel how genuine she was. I just smiled bitterly before saying "I hope they are. I really need to go now, i hope to meet you again soon!" i wave at her and she smiled and waved back. Base on her looks i think she's just five years older than me.

When i arrived i was a little bit late and they were already starting. I just let them continue, i can ask my secretary later if there was anything important that i missed.

The meeting ended around 5pm and i was starving, good thing the next thing on my list of agendas today was with my mom and her so called suitor at a fancy restaurant.

I arrived just on time and saw mom waving at me, here we go again. Smile claire, this won't take long. I smiled at them before sitting down. The man looks very presentable and he also have some company with him, from the looks of it i think its his son.

"Your daughter looks absolutely gorgeous, belinda. Just like you." i just gave him a smile and i can see how my mom blushes from the side of my eyes. I think i might die out of cringe if he says anything more like that.

"Claire anak, this is your tito antonio and that is his son liam." my mom introduced them. "It's nice meeting you po" i gave them a smile, a fake one.

We just had a little chit chat and started eating because i was hella tired from all the things i did. After eating, i immediately excused myself cause i don't wanna get involved or hear anything more from them. I left and went to my all time favorite cafe because i'm craving for some sweets.

"Oh my god, claire! Buti napadaan ka, tagal na nung last time ka nagpunta dito ah. Nakakapagtampo." Bungad saakin ni ann one the crews here

"I know, i'm sorry ang tight masyado ng schedule ko these days but i'm here!!" i smiled at her and she giggled. I sat down and didn't bother saying my order because she knows what i always order here.

"Here's your order ma'am." she placed it at the table and winked at me. Since there were no costumers aside from me she sat down with me, chika na naman to!

"Kamusta ka na? gumanda ka lalo" natawa ako sa kanya, she never forget to say that line to me whenever i come here. "Ikaw rin ann, blooming natin ah?" i teased her with matching sundot sa tagiliran.

"Panong hindi, yung bagong pasok na barista dito na sobrahan sa kagwapuhan mapapa make up ka nalang talaga ng wala sa oras" habang sinasabi niya yon may pagtaas pa ang dalawa niyang kilay. I giggled, ann and her eyes for boys!

"Ikaw ha, akala ko ba trabaho lang. Bakit may pa ganyan ka na?" I told her while laughing. "Yun naman talaga ang pakay ko rito, pero sobra ata akong biniyayaan ni lord at binigyan ako ng gwapong katrabaho, mas nakakagana tuloy." bungisngis na sabi niya. I rolled my eyes then laugh and continue to eat this strawberry cake that i ordered.

"Hindi ka ba na cu-curious kung sino yung tinutukoy ko?" tanong niya muli. Kumunot ang noo ko bago sumagot "Why would i be? You know what? i'm so busy that i don't even have time para kumilatis ng tao." she gave me a look of agreeing "Sabagay, pero wait ka lang tawagin ko, malay mo matipuhan mo." tinaas taas pa niya ang kilay niya sakin bago umalis, i was going to stop her but she's too fast.

"Aiden, si claire, kilala mo naman siguro siya 'no? sikat na business woman at model yan. Claire si aiden yung barista namin dito." pagpapakilala niya.

"Uhm, hi? nice to meet you" pagaalinlangan na sagot ko. "Hi, ma'am. If you need anything, just call me or ann. I'll leave you two now, thank you for visiting." He smiled before leaving.

"Sus, napaka propesyonal naman non. Baka nahihiya pa sayo." Sabi ni ann bago siya tumawa. "Ganun naman talaga dapat, ikaw kasi lahat ng costumer niyo kinaibigan mo na." tumawa rin ako pagkasagot ko.

Ann is the type of person who you'll be comfortable with kahit na kakakilala niyo palang, she's very friendly, very active, very kind and she's also very pretty. I adore her so much kahit na same age kami ay para ko na siyang kapatid.

After finishing my cake ay nagpaalam na ako kay ann since i need to sleep early because i have a shoot tomorrow morning. I also waved at adrien, the guy that ann was talking about earlier. He waved back and smiled at us, friendly naman pala ang sungit sungit niya kanina.

When i arrived at my condo it was already 9pm, i used my phone and saw a message from bella.

| Hey! baka nakalimutan mo na since ang busy mo, don't forget na i-add sa schedule mo ang birthday ko ha! Three days celebration yon, magtatampo ako if you won't make it. Are u busy tom? i miss you na!!! |

i smiled before replying, how could i forget about her birthday duh?

| i know!! i already cleared my work on your day. i have a shoot early in the morning but i'm free on the afternoon, come to my place!!! |

after sending my message i placed my phone on the table at hinanda na ang pang tulog ko, i showered before finally going to bed.
