it was a first.

"afterschool huh?" he muttered to himself, everyone had left school except for the clubs for obvious reasons, he found himself struggling to find the tank shed where he's supposed to be at

"I hope she's there.."

After awhile, he heard a commotion behind a door,

Izumi peeked over the door leading to the hangar to find a few people standing around while one person shouts orders at them.

Izumi akwardly steps in quietly as he hugged the wall trying to not get seen but he was spotted soon after by the group, "HEY YOU, are you one of the recruits?" Shouted the man. he nods and then was signalled to approach and group up

"Alright, that should be all of em."

As the man babbled on Izumi sighs and scoffed while he's forced to stood still for god knows how long. After the 'drill Sergeant' flips a few papers he clears his throat and made an announcement, after a moment. Everyone walked to their perspective stations and Izumi had been assigned as a loader, unfortunately he has been put on reserve but that doesn't mean he can skip out on training.

He ruffled up his hair in frustration while walking towards the station, he arrived to see a brown fluffy haired girl maintaining a gun breach of a tank, the girl turned around and happily greeted him,

"Oh! a recruit! Hello, my name is akiyama Yukari. Nice to meet you~"

Izumi akwardly shooked her hand as yukari showed him around. she was explaining the basics to him, regular stuff but a moment after Izumi let out a quietly gasps, it was miho. Behind yukari was miho who was chatting with some other studnets, just out of ear shot. "Hey, heyyy!" Yukari said while snapping her fingers infront of his eyes.

"You're following?" She said,

Izumi nodded. "Yes ma'am."

"Heh, Good. You know? you look funny familiar for some reasons.. it could be me but whatever! Lets get to it shall we?~" Yukari exclaimed cheerfully as Izumi was ordered to enter the panzer.

(a panzer IV to be exact.)

"Open the gun breach and get rid of the empty shell, and then just slam and slide the new one right in!"

"Wouldn't it damage the breach?"

"Trust me, im a loader myself~"

as yukari reassures him Izumi opens the gun breach and the empty shell inside ejected out and hit the floor, making a loud banging sound which startled him a little. He picked up the new one and wobbled a bit due to him not being used to the weight. He quickly re-adjusted himself and he slammed the shell up the gun breach and it quickly closes yukari smiles and gave him a little fist bump

"That was quick and efficient! What a nice one for a first try~"

"t-thanks, i guess..." Izumi akwardly replied to her, suddenly. The panzer suddenly moved forward causing izumi to faceplanted himself to the hull, knocking him back and landing him on the ground

"Fuck-"

"a-ah.. are you okay-" yukari stopped herself as she looked Izumi from up and down and she realized why he looked so familiar!

"Oh so you're that boy... Haha!" she laughed to herself

"what's so funny..?" Izumi uttered while he stood back up

"Nothing, nothing. Its really strange why you'd willing to join the tankery team even though you know you will be assigned to the reserve team. Is it because..." Yukari said while leaning in closer to Izumi
