Vin and Sel Stories

Where it all started, Part 3

A new day has come. Though it was a bit cloudy outside, the sun still has been shining brightly nonetheless. As the new day has come, so are waking up our Vincent and Selena.

Vincent: *yawns* Damn, I must've really had a good dream that I was sleeping so hard tonight… Wait, that wasn't a dream. I DID phone Selena and asked her out. … Daaaaaamn… Well, I better get prepared for my humiliation.

Vincent wasn't really a talkative person in the real world. Yes, he may have had some friends online, but this was temporary, and shortly after he figured out that he likes having time being alone. Not always, of course, but still.
He had to get himself out of his bubble a couple of times, the last one having some everlasting changes on him.
First time someone commissioned him he was nervous, and the person wanted some scenery from real life. Of course, Vin could just download an image, place it as a background and call it a day. But this was too easy, plus it wouldn't fit the style of drawing, so he had to nervously and hastingly take pictures of the place himself and draw them on his tablet.
He did like going out for references right after, and so he also comes out for exactly that.
Unfortunately, this didn't exclude his unavoidance and fears of socialization. He didn't want to talk to people, because he didn't have anything to say to them. And so, he only talked to his close friends, family and his sister at home.

Selena: *yawns* I really said that we can go out like that, huh… Let's get ready for that then.

As for Selena, she wasn't as anxious as Vincent. She was calmer and usually didn't show her weak spots to anyone. The only people who have known this are her family and a small number of her close friends.
She did not care how this "date" would play out. Even if it goes south, she will still appreciate the effort nonetheless. Although, she was curious about where the axolotl would take her.
Unfortunately for her, Vincent had to think about that just now.

Vincent: Okay, I don't think we're just gonna walk on the streets. I need to find a place we can stay in, plus it shouldn't take me much of my cash to be in.

There were only a few options for him: a café, a nice restaurant and a pizza place. Not really knowing what to do, he decided to get them both to a pizza place nearby.
Right after that arrangement, he started seeking some clothes to put on. This could be a potential date, but he wanted to look more relaxed and welcoming at the same time.
All he could find was a white shirt, some dark pants and some dark blue shoes. Gladly, he had put them on the display and was waiting for the hour to go get Selena.

Throughout the whole day, Selena was as nervous as Vincent, but again, she knew how to hide it so that no one knows about it. All though she slipped with that once, which interested Jacob.

Jacob: Hey Sel, you're blushing a bit. Did something happen?

Selena: Oh! Nothing, really! … It is going to… but nevermind!

Jacob: Well, if you say so. (She's definitely hiding something. Though I'm not sure… I need to check it out myself sometime later…)

And so, it was already 2:50 PM.
Vincent quickly dressed up and was running to meet Sel at the barbershop. The bee, meanwhile, was standing around it, waiting for axolotl to come.

Selena: (I just don't need to think about too much… Everything is still going to be fine. It's not like you weren't with a guy before…)

As soon as Vincent showed up on her sight, she immediately looked in the other direction and blushed a bit. Axolotl didn't notice that, so he "calmly" ran up to her.
