Itachi x crying reader (cuddles)

Itachi POV

I was at the akatsuki base with y/n while the others were out. I decided to go make sushi for the others so I went to the kitchen and got to work making vegetable rolls rolls, ebi nigiri, and crab rolls in little bento boxes for them. When I was done I decided to go ask y/n if he/she/they wanted any, but as I approached his room I began to hear soft crying. When I knocked on hi door I heard a soft voice respond with

"come in" 

I entered the room quietly and saw a tired crying y/n. This was unexpected as I had never seen y/n in such a state, so walked over to him/her/them, sat down next to him/her/them and asked

"what's wrong" in a concerned tone. 

"nothing" 

"well it's obviously something, but if you don't want to talk about it I can leave." I said as I got up to leave but turned back around after hearing y/n say

"please stay" so i sat back down and slowly put my arm around y/n to comfort them slowly pulling them close to me and laying him/her/them down with me allowing them to cry into my chest.

y/n POV

As I cried into Itachi's chest I slowly calmed down and wrapped my arms around the larger male . I put my ear to Itachi's chest and listened to his breathing and heartbeat feeling safe in his arms. 

"I love you" I heard Itachi whisper in my ear and without realising it I found myself responding with

"I love you too"

"does this make us official"

"I guess"

I felt Itachi's arms wrap around me and hold me close and alow me to fall asleep. But in the morning once everyone was home we had some explaining to do because apparently Hidan and Kakuzu had come home and seen us cuddling. Hidan just had to go make a big deal about it .
