Unexpected Reunion

College Grad!

       It was finally here, our college graduation! I just walked across the stage and was about to walk down the stairs when I saw Shane holding a huge bouquet of red roses. I don't know why, but I suddenly had an image of Damon standing waiting for me after getting my diploma, holding my favorite blue roses. I shook the image away quickly; I should not be thinking of Damon anymore when I had Shane.

"Shane, those are beautiful!" I grabbed them and smelled them.

"Beautiful flowers for a beautiful girl." I set the flowers next to me and jumped into his arms.

"That was so corny. I love you, though!"

"I love you too, Saint."

Just then I heard Katie's name, and I turned around and watched while she received her degree. She came down the stairs and we hugged each other. "We did it, Saint!"

"We sure did!"

She pulled back and looked at me with tears in her eyes. "I don't think that I would have been able to make it here without you. You helped me so much with Sadie and were so accepting of Josh and me. I just love you so much."

I wiped the tears that were flowing away. "I love you too, and I would do it all over again. I hope you know that."

"Well, actually." I pushed her back, and my eyes went wide.

"Oh wow, are you pregnant again?"

She started laughing. "No, but the look on your face was awesome." I took a very deep breath.

"Ok, so not funny!"

Just then Josh came up and wrapped Katie up in a huge bear hug. "I am so proud of you, babe!" Shane wrapped his arm around my waist while we watched Josh twirl her around. After he set her down, he turned to me.

"Saint, congratulations to you too!"

"Thank you, Josh."

I was walking towards the car holding Shane's hand when he stopped and looked down at me. He reached down and cupped my face.

"Saint, I am proud of you. I love you so much, and I am so happy that you came into my life."

He reached down and started kissing me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and was kissing him back before I felt the car door behind me. I don't know how long we were making out against the car, but finally, he pulled away.

"Ok, we should probably move this home. What do you say?"

"I say, that's a good idea."

Two weeks later and we were having our little graduation party. I was super excited to see Linda; it's been way too long since we all got to hang out. Shane said he had a really big surprise for me, but I couldn't figure out what that could be.

I was walking around the food table, making sure we had everything, when I heard her voice before I saw her.

"Where are my bitches?"

I turned and saw Linda walk through the door, and I ran right up to her and nearly knocked her over running into her arms.

"Saint, I missed you so freaking much! I can't believe my girls are doctors now!"

I pulled back and saw she also had tears in her eyes. I shrugged, "We are not doctors yet, but close!" She waved her hand in the air and rolled her eyes.

"Oh, please, you may not be working in a hospital yet, but if I went out and got run over by a car right now, I can now trust you two to save me!" I burst out laughing and couldn't stop. Leave it to Linda to make the day so much better. She pulled back and clapped her hands together.
