I undressed myself before putting on a tank top leaving it on with my boxers. My body hit my bed before I covered myself- getting ready for the next day to come.

"Are you serious?" My phone started to vibrate on the nightstand before i answered it putting it on speaker without looking at the contact name "Hello?" I mumbled. There were a few seconds of silence before a voice came through the phone.

"Hey bud" my dad? My dad is calling me? Huh? "Dad?" I asked quietly, he cleared his throat before speaking "I watched your game.. you did well, worked hard on the court" he said, I could hear shuffling from his side before some aggressive sniffing.

"Thanks dad.. it's getting really late and I have a-" "uhm Y/n.. I need some money, like really need some money. Things are hard on my side right now and I don't even have enough money for food right now but I swear when I'm back on my feet the money will come back to you. I'm only asking you cause you're my only kid with a big heart" he pleaded.

I scoffed softly as he continued to speak, obviously this is why he's calling. When else does he call? Exactly.

"Uhm dad I don't think that's a good idea..." I told him. He stuttered over his words before he spoke again "I was wrong about you. Very wrong kid." He said before hanging up.

Damn... I can't even say I'm hurt buy this, this is how he is. How he's always been- he never treated me, my mama, or my siblings right so why now that we have money do we suddenly owe him the world? Nah.
