LUMINE POV
I attacked the guards who are chasing us with anemo just to distract them so we can escape. It worked! Dust went into their eyes, I ran as far as I could, I looked back to check if they're still chasing them when someone grabbed me from the sides and covered my mouth. I have no idea who it is, what is their intention, are they going to kill me or what but the smell is familiar. The other set of guards who are chasing me passed by the place where I am hidden. Paimon on the other hand is nowhere to be found, wow she left me for her own safety, wish I could fly too? Anyways a lot of thought came into my mind when I remembered the situation I am in. I was about to struggle, ready to fight and scream when the man behind me said
"Hey girlie, hold still."
I know who it is.
It's him.
He removed his hand covering my mouth and released my arm from the tight grasp of the other. I thought I would be free as I sighed in relief but he, he hugged me suddenly from behind. I can feel his warm breath tickles my skin. It was a warm reassuring hug.
CHILDE POV
I saw her use anemo against the guards to distract them and not hurt them.
"That's my girl" I thought to myself as I smiled with what she did.
I decided to stop myself from shooting my arrows and head towards the direction she is going. I hid behind a huge tree waiting for her to passed by. I noticed that there are actually two groups chasing her. She already distracted the first one but the other might catch her. She is only focused on the guards she distracted and didn't even know that there is a second group.
As she looked back to check the distracted guards, I grabbed her and covered her mouth so she won't make any sounds. Her floating companion is nowhere to be found, maybe it hid itself. The second group of guards passed by and I was relieved but still on guard. I can feel her being uncomfortable and was about to struggle, maybe even bite me.
"Hey girlie, hold still" I whispered and I know she definitely know who I was.
I let go of her arm and removed my hand covering her mouth. She sighed and was about to turn back when I, I did it.
I hugged her from behind. I am happy that she is here.
"Childe" she said
"Just for a minute" I said
"Hey! I am here" his floating friend, Paimon said angrily.
We both look up to see that she's there.
I removed myself from my embrace and laugh.
"What was that about?" She said as she was confused by what I did
I laughed and said "You're cold. See?"
She noticed that she is not wearing her coat anymore maybe she left it somewhere during the ruckus. She felt the cold temperature now as she shiver. Paimon on the other hand is unwavered by the cold as she wore her coat on.
I am still wearing my cloak and I removed it for her to wear in my stead. I still have my warm uniform on.
"Hey what are you doing?" She said as she closed and covered her eyes with her hands.
I place my cloak on her. "Why did you wear such thin clothes here in Snezhaya? You're really a lot of work."
"Sorry" she muttered
I go down on her level and looked into her eyes, she seems flustered as she closed her eyes.
I patted her head and messed up her hair.
