Chapter 1
I looked up at my ceiling and it was the same as usual, I hoped it would be different today. It was another morning, another day. I stood up from my bed and got ready to get to work. It was just like any other day, the same routine, it became lonely. I walked to my work building and worked. Just like any other day, it wasn't special but it wasn't horrible, just normal and insignificant.
Time passed and my work was over so I packed up and went home. As I walked home, I saw a store I had never seen or been into despite it being so old. So as a desperate attempt to break free from a routine I walked towards it and entered it. The shopkeeper was an old lady who looked welcoming. The store had a welcoming vibe to it and it looked bright despite only having one lightbulb, that's how small the inside of the store was, it was small enough to be lit up using only one lightbulb.
The store sold some random stuff and some of the stuff was ridiculous, so I let out a little chuckle. I looked back at the old lady and she smiled at me.
"Hello," I said to the old lady.
"Hello there, what brings you here?"
"Has this store always been here?"
"It has, it only shows up to certain people, that's why you haven't been seeing it," said the old lady with a smile.
I smiled back, however, in my thoughts, I was confused. I picked up a book that was labelled "The knight and the princess" the cover was beautiful. I took the book to the counter and paid for it. The lady just smiled at me. I proceeded to walk home.
When I entered my empty home, I realized that my life was still going to be the same. I took a bath and started reading the book I bought, it was beautifully written and the way of the writing made me feel what the princess felt and it hurt. The book was about a princess named Avabelle in a kingdom that was filled with evil, so her father assigned her a knight named Morana. Morana was the best knight the country has ever seen.
Morana was charming and nice, she always listens to Avabelle whenever she has a problem. Their interactions were cute and relatable, I mostly related to Avabelle because she was so awkward. Morana was always cheerful too, Avabelle was drawn to that, in a country filled with so much evil, there was Morana.
Alas, in the world they lived in, they could've never been together because they were two women, Avabelle could only dream. I stopped reading there, closed the book and went to sleep.
The next day, I woke up and looked up to a ceiling I couldn't recognize, I panicked. I stood up immediately and looked around to find a mirror. When I found the mirror, I looked in it but it wasn't me I saw, I saw a little girl with beautiful pink hair and pale clear skin with yellow eyes. She was wearing a white night gown. I looked at the mirror once more and I slapped myself to make sure it wasn't a dream, sure enough, it wasn't a dream. I looked at the mirror once more before screaming which caused people to run into my room worried.
"Avabelle! Are you okay?" one of the people there. I froze in shock because he yelled the princess's name from the book I read. I realized the man that yelled the name matched exactly with the description of the princess's father. I finally realized what was happening, I was stuck in the body of the princess in the novel I read!
(Well that's it for chapter 1, thank you for reading it, sorry if there's any mistakes in the writing and please do make suggestions on how to make it better :D)
