Chapter 2
I stood there shocked as Avabelle's father yelled her name. I went back to the bed and sat down, Avabelle's father shook me asking what was wrong. I told him nothing and that I was fine. He left the room while I sat there trying to process what is happening and decided to stand up and look inside Avabelle's closet. Sure enough, her clothes were extravagant and beautiful. I tried on the most plain-looking one I could find, which was a brown dress with puffy sleeves and a puffy skirt and also a brown cloak with a bag to fit in all the things I could sell for good money for in the room.
I snuck out of the room and was in awe because the interior was beautiful. I snapped myself back into reality and ran as fast as I could, to avoid the fate of Avabelle. I ran until I bumped into a red, short-haired girl wearing some brown clothes and pants, she was carrying a sword. I realized that the girl was Morana. She was tall and had some charm to her.
She giggled and asked where I was going, I panicked and continued to run leaving the red-haired girl behind, she looked shocked. I saw the secret exit that was described in the book and left the castle from there. The town was filled with people so it wasn't hard to blend in without getting caught. I saw a shop that seemed like it would buy jewelry for good money. I went in to sell my jewelry and it worked, I got a good amount for it.
I made my way to a bakery to buy nourishment for myself. The bakery was filled with delicious-looking pastries so I bought some and sat down on a bench on the side to eat it. While I was eating, some person sat next to me on the bench and I paid no attention to them because of how delicious the bread was. I gobbled the last piece down without chewing it and choked, the person next to me immediately gave me water and patted my back gently. I drank the water and thanked the person.
When I turned my head to look at the person who saved me from my stupid bread choking, I saw Morina with a big grin on her face. I immediately covered my face that was turning red from embarrassment. I looked up to see Morina's face who was holding her laugh. I had tears in my eyes because of how monstrous I must've looked gobbling up the bread. She patted my back in an attempt to comfort me. I stood up and ran as fast as I could without looking back.
I stopped at an alleyway because I was breathless from running that long. I turned to see if Morina somehow chased me all the way here and made it through the crowd. I was shocked to see the red-haired girl outside of the alleyway trying to find me. I quickly rushed to hide behind a dumpster but then there was a rat, I wanted to scream but I had to wait it out.
I checked to see if Morina left already and saw that she did, I let out a sigh of relief but then I remembered there was a rat next to me and I screamed. I ran out and calmed down. I went down to the town square to ask people where to find a sorcerer or any person related to magic. One person suggested going to a shady business that provided people with information for the right price. I was reluctant at first but realized that I had to try anything to find out how to get back to my world.
I made my way when someone hugged me from behind and I froze and turned my head to see who it was and to my surprise it was Morina.
"Why do you keep running away? Why are you even running in the first place?" she said with a hurt expression.
I wasn't shocked by her question because any sane person would ask me that. I mean why would Avabelle, a person who has everything in the castle, suddenly want to run away from a place basically like paradise to the commoners. I took a deep breath before answering:
"I just didn't want to be in that place anymore, ya know?"
She let me go and I turned around to see her. She was beautiful, Avabelle and her would've been a perfect couple, both of them are beautiful. I realized I should've just let the story flow and maybe I could've found a way to go back through that way. I suddenly felt weak, maybe from all that thinking and running, man, this body is not meant to run. I thought that before passing out.
(that's it for chapter 2, I hope you enjoyed! Thank you for reading, please do make suggestions on how to make the story better! :D)
