Author POV
It was 6pm and it was close to closing song time, there was a few customers in the cafe. So there was a calm and quiet atmosphere.
"Ollie I have to leave early cause I have to go buy dinner for tonight."
"Okay?"
"So that means your gonna be here alone to help Taeyong clean up" She just stayed silent and sighed
"Okay." He patted her shoulder and left. Taeyong was already cleaning up the kitchen so she decided to go back there and help.
"Hey, do you need any help?" She peaked her head in and saw him look over at her.
"Uh yeah, do you think you can bake up the rest of the cakes in a to go box. And maybe take some cheesecake so we can bring home"
"Okay" She smiled since she loved cheesecake and took the last two slices and put them in a small to go box. Then turned to the random slices of small cakes that were left and put them in a bigger box. "What are you going to do with these cakes?"
"Bring them to an orphanage..." He looked over at her while wiping his hands "Wanna come with?" There was a pause while she was thinking of what to do.
"Sure I'll go" Ollie closed the box and set it on the counter.
"Okay then let's go. It's just a block away so we can walk" He grabbed the box from her hands and then went to hold the door open for her as she began to walk out.
Ollie POV
"Do you come here a lot?" I ask looking at him and admiring his features a little as we started walking.
"I do. I like bringing cakes or small treats for the orphans. Just to make them happy" Taeyong smiled while explaining this to me. It made me smile too. "Oh look we're here" He opened the door and opened it for the both of them to pass through. I looked around and the orphanage seemed cute and not scary like the way it's usually portrayed in shows and movies.
"Tae you brought your girlfriend?" A lady at a front desk asked as we walked into the building and he laughed nervously shaking his head
"No, she is just a friend. I brought cake for the kids" He said holding up the box. The lady clapped her hands and began walking towards the back. Taeyong started walking and grabbed my hand making me flustered with the sudden contact between eachother. His grip was tight in a protective way.
"You have perfect timing." She opened another door that looked like a little play room and all the kids were playing but paused when they heard people come in "The kids were hoping you would bring cake today" She smiled as she saw them get up and run over
"TAE!" Some kids hugged him and jumped up and down. Before looking at me. I found this whole scene adorable. Seeing Taeying smile and engulf the small child before going to set down the cake at a big round table. He looked over at me with his warm smile that I fell in love with. I looked away quickly, starting to feel flustered.
"Tae who is this pretty lady?" A little kid tugged on his shirt, ans pointed at me.
"She is my pretty friend who came to play and eat cake with us" The little boy then went over, and grabbed my shirt to pull me to the table .
"Let's eat cake with our new friend then play!"
Taeyong POV
When I looked over at Ollie, she turned away. I frowned from her reaction when I turned towards her.
-skip to when they walk back to Johnny and Taeyongs apartment-
"Are you okay?" I look down at the ground as we were walking.
"Yeah... why do you ask?"
"Cause you looks upset or disappointed earlier." I say and there was a silence for a second. She laughed before turning towards me.
"I was just thinking about something. I'm fine, I promise." She looked up at the sky to look at the stars. I look at them with her as we stopped in our tracks
"So... how have you been?" I asked looking back at her.
"I mean, I'm okay. It's been odd teaching dance and just being in my own in my apartment"She just shrugged and continue walking. "What about you ?"
"I have been good. Just dealing with my business and yeah" I honestly didn't know how to make this conversation interesting. It just feels hard to connect after all this time. I felt my phone ring in my back pocket, and pulled it out to see who it was calling. It was Johnny, so I answered and put the phone on speaker.
"Where are you guys? It's been two hours after closing and this pizza is getting cold" Johnny yelled through the phone making Ollie giggle.
"We are almost there sir. Just be patient" Ollie then whispered "Are we actually close to the house?"
"Not that close maybe another ten minutes" I whispered back with a small smile on my face
"I HEARD THAT!" Johnny yelled through the phone which made both me and Ollie began laughing "Jeez just hurry up and get home"
"Yeah, yeah we will" I said before hanging up and looking over at Ollie who was still laughing.
"I love teasing him it's funny"
Authors POV
Taeyong and Ollie finally got back to the apartment.
"We're back!" Taeyong yelled as he was taking off his shoes before entering. He saw Johnny reheating the pizza in the oven.
"About time" Johnny sarcastically said before sitting down with the freshly heated up pizza.
"Ooo yummy" Ollie reached for a piece of pizza before taking a big bite out of it.
"Where did you order this from?" Taeyong asked while getting the beers out of the fridge and setting them down.
"The pizzeria down two blocks. Mario's? I think" Johnny cracked opened a beer before gulping some down feeling something tingly go down his throat.
"Ah that one, don't we normally order from somewhere else?" Taeyong asked while handing Ollie her beer.
"They were closed" Johnny said as he sighed and ate a slice of pizza.
"So do we have to go to the cafe at 5am again?" Ollie placed a crust of a pizza on the plate before opening up her beer and sipping it. It's been awhile since she had alcohol in her system. She isn't much of a drinker.
"No that's our usual time when we need to prep stuff. So it's 6:30am. But you get to meet the other workers tomorrow since it's gonna be Saturday." Taeyong said with a big grin
