The dining hall was crowded I sat down next to prim as per usual.
The loud blare of capital music from the tv made everyone jump, A pale shaking face, the face of a boy appeared on the screen.
"Peeta!" Katniss shouted
My head jerked toward her, the noise of the rest of the dining hall faded and I was staring face to face at my brother, except he wasn't the brother I've known his face was very pale, he kept looking down, his voice quivered and he spoke slowly.
I quickly packed up my stuff and my extra food and went to finish it in my room
I sat in my room for hours until I heard a knock on my door, I had a slight dream of who I had wanted to be at the door. He was a tall man, very kind and strong. He used to carry lots of flour around the bakery. My brother I wanted him to be there to be back to how he was, to be safe, but as much as I wanted it I knew it couldn't happen.
I walked over to the door and gave it a gentle pull. A girl stood behind the door, she was wearing a braid. She was gently holding a black and white cat with a slight smile.
"Prim!" I shouted and then gave her a hug
"Hey, Rye" she had said in a soft tone
"Hey what are you doing here" I said
"I wanted to check up on you" Prim said
"I'm okay" I said
"Thats good" Prim responded
"Yeah I guess" I said
"I'm going to go check on Katniss" Prim quickly said
"Oh okay, tell me if she's okay" I asked with a smile
"Alright I will" she said
I knew why she left… I'm considered a traitor here because of my brother, she was scared to be seen with me it's not like I'm not used to it because I am, I'm from district 12, the poor district, the district of the mines, everyone who had lived there was used to it.
Even Prim.
