its been 3 days since august and i kissed. we seen each other and classes and stuff but other than saying hi and bye we never spoke more than 10 minutes. it was awkward not talking to august. i had feelings for him and i needed to let him know.

it was the weekend so i threw on some shorts and a black tee. i tied my jean jacket around my waist and walked next door. i stood at the door silently and before i could knock august opened the door.

" um hey charielle "

" wassup august "

" need anything ? "

" i need to talktoyou "

" alright well i gotta go to the store for kay so you might if you walk with

me ? "

" sure "

i smiled and began to walk with august.

" so what you wanna talk about ? "

" well um august i wanted to let you know i really like you and i know things got shaky after that small kiss three days ago "

" oh "

" yeaa that's all i wanted to talk about"

" well since we being honest i just wanted to let you i couldn't stop thinking bout that kiss and you "

" really ? "

" yess charielle i like you alot "

" i feel the same way about you august"

" well since we spilling everything out i just wanted to know if you'll be more than my friend ? "

" like your girlfriend ? "

" yeaa "

" can i get some time to think about it ? "

" yes i guess so "

i pulled augusts face down and kissed his cheek. we continued to walk to the store for whatever august was getting for kay.

i came home and spread across my bed. i picked my phone up and called my bestfriend mel. the phone rang 3 times before he picked up.

" hello ? "

" hey bestfriend "

i heard girl giggles in the background.

" is this a bad time ? "

" no its just niaa "

" excuse me ? "

" huh what you say ? "

" no mel i heard you "

i laughed and smirked.

" hey other bestfriend "

" hey "

" put mel back on "

" hello ? "

" yeaa i wanted to talk to you about august and i situation "

" is everything okay ? "

" yeaa he just ask me to be his girlfriend "

" girl you better say yes he fine "

" take me off speaker mel "

" soo niaa you think he look better than me ? "

" no baby you look better "

" whatever i'm messing with you "

i giggled.

" but best friends yall wanna hang out this weekend ?  "

" let me ask niaa "

mel asked niaa and minutes later mel got back on the phone.

" she said yeaa and ask dukes if she can come over ? "

"she already know she can come over"

"alright well i'll see you tomorrow best friend "

" see you tomorrow "

" bye charrie boo "

i laughed and said bye to niaa also. i laid across my bed smiling then moments later small snores came from my mouth. i was slumped.
