Yelling was all I heard when I walked through the doors of my new house.
"YOU CANT JUST EXPECT ME TO DO EVERYTHING FOR YOU!" I recognized to be my mother voice
"YOU KNOW WHAT, IM DONE." My father threw his glass down shattering on the hardwood floor. I looked at my mom, I could see the sadness in her eyes. My father jumped into his car and drove off to who knows where.
"Well, you better get to bed. You can't be tired for your first day of school tomorrow." My mom said In a hushed tone as a tear slowly rolled down her cheek. I pursed my lips deciding not to anger her anymore. I ran upstairs and listened to some Green Day.I open my eyes becoming fully awake after being woken by "Bulls in the Bronx" by Pierce The Veil. I check my phone to see its 5:30. School starts at 6:30 which gives me a perfect hour. I slip out of my pajamas and into a black floral dress I had picked out the night before. I quickly do my makeup and place my lunch into my bag for the day. I look out my window only to see my dads car still missing. What if he never comes back? He will, I know it. He wouldn't leave us. Would he? I push the thoughts aside and focus on doing my hair for the day. I neatly tie it into a side braid. Checking the clock again I see its exactly 6 AM. Perfect timing. I grab my things and walked out the door not bothering to eat. The walk there was surprisingly fast and I got there just on time.
"BREE" I hear someone call my name in the parking lot. I am greeted by my best friend Amber with a run-and-jump hug. Like the one in those sappy romance movies. "I haven't seen you all summer! How was Europe?!" I exclaim to her. "AMAZING!!! I actually brought you back something.." She said before pulling out a silver Eiffel Tower key chain complete with rhinestones.
"I love it!!" I say hugging her even tighter.
"I have so mu-" the bell interrupts "I'll tell you at lunch I gotta get to math" she said. She runs away waving her hand as if she's going to jail if she didn't get to class on time.English, History, PE, math, and science. Were my classes. I sit in the corner of Mr. Shites class waiting to get out of this hell hole. I doze off thinking about where my dad is. My thoughts are interrupted by that God damn annoying bell. I jumped and ran out the door, being the first one out. I meet Amber at our arranged meet-up spot. I sit by the tree we were meant to meet at and waited. And waited. And waited. I soon gave up and ended up sitting by myself. I stare down at my half eaten ham sandwich. I see a pair of blank converse peek behind my sandwich. A look up to see a boy. He had hazel eyes with light brown curls falling on the side of his face. "Ummm...may I help you?" I said a little too harshly. "Woah, okay sorry. I just wanted to see if you were okay. You looked sad" the boy said blushing a little. "Oh.... No ones ever really cared. I'm sorry. Come sit" I motioned to the dirt. "Well I care, and you are...?"
"Bree"
"Ashton" he said. Ashton. What a cute name for such a sweet boy. I'd never really been open to anyone besides Amber, but for some reason I felt so comfortable talking to Ashton. I told him everything, and not once did he judge me or make a rude comment like any other person would. He understood. After our conversation, the bell rang signalling 5th period--------------
