liv had been sitting on her front porch for what seemed like hours, but in actuality it had only been 10 minutes. her chauffeur, emily, was late as usual. it wasn't that liv couldn't drive, but she didn't have a car.

she glanced at her wristwatch for the thousandth time that morning, and let out a frustrated groan. if emily didn't show up she was going to have to ask her mum to take her. she sat back down on the porch steps when emily's car pulled up in front of her.

"what took so long?" liv exclaimed, jogging up to the car.

"sorry i couldn't find my card."

"what do you even need it for? we're going to school."

"yeah, my friends and i are grabbing breakfast before school and it's my turn to pay." emily explained whilst pulling into the main road.

"no! we're going to be late for god's sakes!'

"come on, we won't be long."

"no way. tell them you can't make it."

"that'll be rude! besides i have to pay."

"someone's going to have to cover your turn."

"whatever." emily huffed, digging in her pockets for her phone.

"watch the road!" liv panicked as she look frantically, from emily to the road .

"relax, i can text and drive." she said with a slight roll of her eyes, as she tried to split her attention between her phone and the road in front of her.

"remind me to find someone else to drive me to school."

"even better, i'll remind you to get a car."

as emily and liv made their way to their lockers which were side by side but only separated by a locker between, they spotted lily, william and jaeden at the far end of the corridor. emily smiled and beckoned to them to come over, whilst she began rifling through her locker

"i'd really like to punch you." jaeden said as the three of them made a halt in front of emily's locker.

"excuse me?" the blonde asked, peeking from behind her locker door momentarily.

"he had to cover your turn." lily informed.

"and of course he's being a baby about it." will added.

"you'd be angry too if you were me. john ordered nearly half the menu!" jaeden exclaimed, folding his arms across his chest.

"john doesn't ever eat that much." emily remarked as she shut her locker, now giving the conversation full attention.

"he just did it because jaeden has a thing for his sister." lily smiled, wiggling her eyes at the brunette who shoved her.

"i don't have a thing for lauren." jaeden groaned in frustration as lily continued to taunt him, and william soon joined her.

emily giggled as she watched the sight before her. jaeden really wasn't fooling anyone. even the blush on his cheeks right now gave him away, not like there weren't a lot of obvious things that gave him away since.

"whatever." emily smiled, dismissing their argument. "i'll cover your next turn and my own."

"why did you cancel at the last minute?" will asked just as the warning bell sounded.
