Lacey's Ringtone: Greater by Mercyme

I don't know exactly how Lacey looks yet, just the basics. She was born with blond hair but dyed it brown and has blue eyes. She has a slight tan. So as I post chapters and pictures with her along with them, they might not all look exactly the same, but I'm going to stick with the basics.

If I find a picture that I think REALLY looks like her, I'll tell you ;) Enjoy!

Lacey's P.O.V-

I know my mom may have a point. Maybe I should clean my room... and maybe I should pick up all my clothes... and yes maybe I should give my dog a bath. But it's Saturday! But of course my mother calls it Cleaning Day.

"Lacey if you're not up, dressed, and down here in 20 minutes you will not have a happy mom today!" She yells from downstairs.

I groaned and pulled a pillow over my head "Okay, okay! I'll be down there in in a little bit!" I groaned with morning's raspy voice.

There's no point in staying in bed now.
I get up and quickly grab my clothes and hop in the shower. Turning on the shower head, the cold water feels great against my skin in this hot summer heat.

Maybe today if I get everything done, I can go see Ellie! I'm sure she'd love to talk about the party I'm having.

My birthday is coming up soon. I didn't really want a party at first but, well... my parents (and friends) eventually got me on board to the idea. I am turning 16 only once after all! Or at least that's what everyone keeps telling me. My friends are all extremely excited... sometimes I have to laugh though; I think they may be more excited than me!

"Lacey it's going to be your sweet 16!"

"Yeah come on Lacey, if my parents offered to throw me a party I would let them!

"You have to do this, it'll be fun!"

"We're only telling you this so you don't regret it in the future..."

"It's your parent's right to throw you a party! Don't deny them that right!"

Yeah... my friends can get a little over dramatic.

"nnn...nnn...nnn"

"Esther... it's okay girl I'll be out in a second!" I yelled to my whiney dog that's whimpering outside of my bathroom door.

That's Esther; she's a beautiful Alaskan Klee Kai. Just picture her like a miniature Husky, although she's not really a Husky. Named after Esther in the bible; her beautiful coat and somehow strong posture for a puppy of 3 months made me think of Esther's strength and the posture she must've had. You know... in human form.

After about 10 minutes in the shower I (reluctantly) turn off the cool water, take my towel, pat myself dry, and start to change.

"Okay Esther, come in silly girl." I said as I opened my bathroom door while she came running in. Tongue sticking out and ears perked up like the cutie she is.

"Ohh I'm sorry I forgot about you!" I cooed to her, like the baby she is. She wagged her tail as I rubbed her ears.

I quickly put my hair up in a towel, I'll blow dry it once I get the cleaning list from my mother today.
Ugh... the cleaning list. Maybe I can escape out my window? Yeah! I could live out my days traveling with no house to clean... man I could totally live the life of a nomad!

"Lacey!" Never mind.

I walk outside my door with Esther following in tow like my own shadow.

"Okay Lacey, I'm not asking you to do much today, just as long as you get it all done right now before you do anything else." My mom authoritatvley says as I walk down the stair into our living room that's connected to the kitchen. With her rich blonde colored hair and blue eyes, it's clear where I get my own traits from. Although my hair isn't blond at this second since I just dyed it brown. And oh am I in love with this color on me!
