-Short Intro/Story-
"Lacey..."
"Lacey..."
I opened my eyes. I sat up tiredly and looked to my right... then to my left. I could have sworn I heard my name being called. I took out my phone and looked at the time. 1:46 A.M.
I shrugged it off. It must have been a dream or something. I lay back down.
"Lacey... please wake up... Please!" Again I sat back up, but this time I knew where the voice was coming from, on the other side of my bedroom door. And I knew exactly who it was.
I got up and walked quickly to the door, where on the other side was a quiet baby girl's voice calling my name ever so gently but urgently so as not to wake up the adults in the house.
"Juliet, what are you doing up?" I asked my 6 year old baby sister as I opened my door.
"I had a bad dream laylay, and when I woke up my room was dark. I heard a noise.. and... and it was scary laylay. Please let me sleep with you! Pretty please!" She said. She sounded very scared.
"Okay, come inside." She nodded her head and quickly came in side. She ran to my bed, hid her self under my comforter and shut her eyes tight. I sighed, why does she have to have all these nightmares? She's an innocent little girl. One of God's children. Sadly everyone has times when the Devil wants to attack them.
I went to the right side of the bed where she was hiding herself.
"Juliet, its ok. You don't need to hide. There is never a need to hide, as long as you have God by your side." I said quietly and calmly, so she'll feel safe enough to come out. She peeked her head out of the covers. "Laylay, what if the monsters try and attack me and hurt me?" She said with fear showing in her voice.
"You don't have to worry about the monsters Julie. Who's by your side all the time?"
"Jesus."
"And who's the one that died for our sins?"
"Jesus."
"And who's the one that makes all the flowers grow, the sunshine shine and the smile that apears on your face every day appear the next day?"
"Jesus." She said, as a small smile slipped on to her face. "Or God?" she said confused. That made me smile, to see that my little sister understands who God is... well kind of, she's still just a kid. I had the same exact knowledge as she has when I was her age.
Too hard to imagine that God and Jesus were One until I was a little bit older. She under stands that God is her Heavenly Father and the Jesus is God's son who was sent to the earth to die for our sins, What she has trouble with is knowing that God and Jesus is one person. She gets confused by it, but she knows basically what we mean. As time goes on she'll become a very wonderfull young Christian girl. I hope she grows up with a strong faith. Even though I'm 14 and seem to know a lot about Christianity and stuff, I'm still learning and growing.
"No your right, God, the Son and the Holy Spirit is one God. Now see? Do you really think God will let the monsters hurt you?" I said, and then poked her nose. She giggled...
"No, God will protect me." She said, smiling even more. Then she yawned.
"Okay now, let's pray and then go to sleep alright?" I said. She nodded.
I went to the left side of my bed and sat under the covers. We were both sitting up and we bowed our heads and folded our hands together.
"Dear God, Thank you for being there for us. Thank you for giving us the protection that we need and your love we so desire. Thank you for our family, and that we can all be there for each other and share your love with one another.
God I pray that you please take away all of Juliet's nightmares. I pray that you will protect us from the Devil that wants nothing but misery for us. We believe in you God, you sent your one and only Son to die for our sins and for that we thank you and believe in you. Please Lord; send your Angel upon us so that we may have a peaceful sleep.
We love you God with all our hearts. There will never be enough we can do to show just how much we love and respect you. We love and Fear you. We know your power, and we know your strength. You are above all else, especially us.
We Love you Father. And in your name we pray..."
"*Togther* Amen."
I looked at Juliet and she yawned again, but looked back up at me and smiled. I smiled back.
"Let's go to sleep now Julie, your starting your first day of 1st Grade Tomorrow." I said.
Oops, I forgot to pray about that part. It totally slipped my mind. Oh well. I looked up at the ceiling. God knows everything... don't you God?
I smiled up at air, knowing God was smiling right back down at us...

So this is not the first chapter, just something I wrote up. I'm calling it an odd introduction, because it was a short story really. So the time and date in the first chapter will be differen't, as it's probably going to start in the summer on summer break.
Let's just say it's the same year Juliet went to first grade, they're just on summer break.
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed and continue to read this story. I would mean a lot to me :)
God bless! xoxo
