Suddenly Noah tenses, his shoulders hunching and his eyes narrowing as he scans the area around the both of you. You don't see any one, but Noah apparently does.

"Get away! I've got to handle this and I can hardly be worrying about you dying!" He screams at you, making motions wildly with his hands. You are startled, you're a vampire, how could you die? The stake to the heart, burning your body, a silver bullet? No, that last one is werewolves. You shudder and try to stop imagining the painful ways in which a vampire would have to be tortured in order to die.

Maybe it's simply because you are a newborn.

The sky flashes then, the dark clouds lighting up for a fraction of a moment to give way to a sinister and brutish silhouette. Noah hisses a name under his breath and you barely catch it before you are flung backward.

Mordis.

Loud laughter breaks the unnatural silence that has fallen over the culdesac.

"I am Mordis puny vampire. You are Noah Walder, yes?" Noah nods grimly and scowls at the melodramatic antics of the demon. "Good, then I shall go ahead and kill you with relish. I shall savour the stomping of my boots upon your inferior skull as your inconsequential brains leak out through the cracks before becoming mush beneath me." He finishes abruptly with a loud hearty laugh and swings a meaty fist at Noah's head, knocking him into a mailbox which promptly bends in two when he collides with it.

"I am Mordis! Cower puny vampire, for this is your last moonrise!" He makes way towards Noah and slams his fist down onto Noah's skull, before picking him up and attempting to toss him. Noah groggy but a sore loser, switches the hold up on Mordis, and tumbles out of his grasp landing gracefully and without much injury on the grayed tar.

"Juin sent you, Mordis? Think you're an elite fighter do you?" Noah taunts, his grin wild and excited, no doubt exacerbated by the rush of adrenaline. Noah winds around Mordis focusing on quick slashes to the throat, doing his best not to allow Mordis close.

The demon has naturally poisionous claws and is quite difficult to kill, only once his head has been severed and burned will his body and soul, blackened though it is, wither and die.

It happens then that Mordis takes a fatal swipe at Noah's abdomen, cackling gleefully when he stumbles backwards, the natural and lethal poison on Mordis' claws already seeping into his blood stream. Working quickly regain his balance he howls and charges forward toppling Mordis to the ground, clawing furiously at the thick hard layers of skin protecting Mordis' neck.

Mordis wheezes, and a steady trickle of blood begins down out of his gasping mouth. He abruptly jerks upward, bucking Noah off and slowly staggering to his feet. He flexes his biceps and grins with a smile so chilling that Noah even looks startled for a moment.

They clash against each other snarling and fighting on the ground like animals, each determined to kill the other and come out victor. Mordis is heavier and older though, his token of long life not nearly enough to stand up against the forces of time, and without the helping agent of near immortality vampirism provides, he begins to weaken against Noah's attacks.

hey end up with Noah pressing Mordis' limp body against a lamp post, digging his bare hands into the bloodied flesh about Mordis' neck. He is hurrying to kill him, worried, for all that Mordis' has weakened, he has the token of long life, and is slowly regaining strength even as Noah lacerates the protective layers of skin about his neck.

Finally with a sickening crack Noah's hands snap the bones, and with a hiss, he rips Mordis' head off with a loud squelch. His hands are stained red as he turned around and sees Irabelle, his gaze worried and concerned as he takes in her stock still countenance and the blood splattered across her clothes. "You alright there?"
