She moved swiftly through the forest, fighting her way through the branches and bush. She moved with care as the stiff autumn fallen leaves crinkled under her feet. As she moved around the trees she hit a stream, semi-frozen. "Great...just great." She'd mumble, stepping carefully onto the ice, not knowing how thin it was. She'd sigh, getting a false sense of hope that she was safe. With a sickening crack, she looked down to see a small crevasse in the ice. Time stood still as she made the realization of her mistake. She watched as a figure came from the other side of the river. Pale skin, eyes as white as the winter sky, long light blue hair, lavender lips. The figure smiled at her as she fell into the depths of the river. The girl sank down into the water, cold icy waves filling her lungs. She looked up at the crack she fell through and watched as the cold woman looked down at her. The cold woman seemed to be laughing as if she was enjoying this. The girl thought her final few thoughts, praying to whoever ruled the afterlife to take care of her family. "Please, make sure mama has enough food to feed grandma. And make sure someone finds me. I need to have him know I didn't mean this, I need him to remember how much I loved him. I need him to know that he needs to carry on without me." She said to whoever was listening. She felt the light in her slowly go out, like a candle flickering before someone blew on the flames. She felt her eyes start to droop and her hands start to soften. And she felt her body relax as she took in more water that forced the air out. She sighed out her last breath and welcomed the river to take her soul, knowing that all she loved would be cared for and move on.
