A few hours have passed since Tanjiro's trial. Shinobu looked out of her window at the sky. It was starting to get dark. "I should head out," Shinobu quietly said. Shinobu walked out of the mansion and silently ran to the forest. "Okay, it's gonna be awhile before I reach the meeting place," Shinobu said.

An hour has passed and Shinobu is still walking to the meeting place. "Why does it have to be so far," Shinobu asked herself. Then, she heard a noise behind her. Shinobu quickly turned around. She reached for her sword but it wasn't there. "Shit, I'm dead without my sword," Shinobu said. Suddenly, a figure walked out of the trees. "Oh, it's just you," Shinobu said. The spider demon smiled and waved. "Hi Shinobu," the demon said. "So, what is your name," Shinobu asked. "My name is Mia," the demon said. "It's nice to meet you Mia," Shinobu said. Mia bowed her head. "So, are you the only one left," Shinobu asked.

"Yes, I am the last spider demon," Mia said with tears in her eyes. Shinobu walked over to Mia and hugged her. Mia hugged Shinobu back. "So, why did you let me live," Shinobu asked. Mia released Shinobu from her hug. "Well, right before I was gonna kill you, I felt something inside of me. It was a feeling that I was supposed to keep you alive," Mia said. Shinobu smiled. "That feeling was kindness, Mia," Shinobu said. Mia looked confused. "Kindness," Mia asked. Shinobu nodded her head. "It means you're not heartless," Shinobu said. A cold gust of wind blew passed the two girls. While Mia was unaffected, Shinobu started to shiver. Mia saw that snow was starting to fall. "Hey, I'll walk you to the house my used. Since I'm the only left, nobody should bother you," Mia said. Shinobu nodded her head. "Can't move," Shinobu said. Mia picked Shinobu up and carried her to the house.

Once at the house, Mia laid Shinobu down in one of the rooms. "Mia, where are we," Shinobu asked. "We are at my house," Mia said. She then covered Shinobu up with a blanket. "Sleep well Shinobu," Mia said. Shinobu quickly drifted off to sleep.
