Under the dimness of the night, a bright lamp shines at the paper-filled desk, each ranging from bills, to messy stacks of paperwork. Bloodshot eyes struggled to stay open; with the shaky, yet strong grip on the pen.
Sounds of her writing along with the evening silence was all she heard, as she wrote scribbles and scribbles of text. Rubbing her already tired eyes; she ran a hand through her hair, as her writing pace got messier, yet faster. [Name] grumbles.
'... Stupid papers.', the angry thought drifts along on her mind; yet she still continues -- continue to force herself to finish the same thing she's tired of. The once soft sound of her writing became louder, as the next papers had imprints by her (hard) writing on the previous ones. As she was writing, she felt and heard a buzz, her reddened eyes eventually finding the source; her phone.
Rubbing her eyes once again, she opens her phone being met with a notification of a calling recipient. More specifically, it was Bobby. Sliding on the accept button, she was met with his familiar face. To her surprise, Bobby was in some type of hotel, his eyes glistening with worry as he saw his poor dear's state.
"Good evening [N/name].", He pauses to analyze her even further, "Dear... You should rest."
[Name] sighs, as she shook her head, "No sweetie it's fine." She denies, as Bobby stares at her with a shaking head,
"You have bloodshot eyes. In what way is that fine?" His voice dripped of concern, with [Name] falling silent of realization. The female tried to reason, "But these are --"
"I don't care." He firmly states, "I'm worried for you dear. I know paperwork's important but you need to take care of yourself." A lecture came out from her phone's speaker, yet it felt like it was in person. [Name] pouts, as they place the phone near their paper-filled workplace, as she puts the phone on a stand.
"I know that... But these are all due soon." A Groan of annoyance came from the other side, as she shuffles around and continued to work on the papers. Her pace was similar from earlier, yet more gentle and calm; along with her writing not being so hard.
"Can you just talk with me while I'm doing it? At least it'll pass by faster." [Name] mumbles loud enough for him to hear. Her boyfriend chuckles, before agreeing. "You can't resist sweet, sweet procrastination can't you?" [Name] opens her mouth to protest, yet her boyfriend's argument was true.
"Okay that's enough. How's your day?" He questions, "Before this?... My day was fine." Bobby smirks at her statement, "It would've been more than fine with me."
A small smile came form her lips, yet never stopped to write. "Of course." after her statement, she scoffs playfully; along with Bobby winking back.
"I see that your part-time job seems to be high paying." [Name] brings up, referring to the seemingly expensive hotel he was staying.
"Sweetheart. We have the same jobs."
"I know." A small smile crept to her face, as the pile decreases; her eyes slowly shutting. She yawns, yet still continues to write, which isn't much left because of her writing spree earlier.
Her grip loosens, as her handwriting was lighter, yet a bit messier again. Bobby goes ahead and turns off his lights, consuming [Name]'s phone on almost pitch black. Except for the faint light showing her boyfriend's face.
Minutes go by, as [Name] slowly puts down her pen, shoving away paper from her desks and turning them into piles. Through the dark screen, Bobby seemed to faintly smile, "Congrats sweetie. Now rest. You've earned it."
[Name] sent a crooked smile back, as her eyelids felt heavy. Her vision having multiple spots, "Good... Night Bobby..." Her boyfriend waves goodbye as she ends the call, with her turning off the lamp.
The female made her short walk to her bed, which was close to her study. Laying her head on the cotton candy like bed, her eyes eventually shut.
...
A red and blue suited man sat next to the holographic computer (Showing a mustached man), along with a greyish-suited man with a ponytail. Both men were waiting, and eventually the person they were waiting shows up, panting and have their hands on their knees.
"Good morning. I'm sorry I am a bit late." She bows as she stood next to Bobby, whom just smiles. General Rama coughs, "Good morning to you too Ejen [Name]." He pauses,
"Now you might question the reason I called you three specifically."
Gazes remained at the silent general, As he explains how this new mission would carry out. Turns out, the three were going to do duties on scattered and mostly abandoned buildings.
Though they won't be specifically investigating. All three of them were assigned patrolling duties, and possibly watch over the younger agents.
All three nodded, as all of them immediately head out; with Ejen Fit heading out on his own, whispering something to Bobby, he smirks as he heads out. Bobby's hand made itself entangled with [Name]'s, his gaze landing on her semi bloodshot eyes.
"...You feeling better?" [Name] nods,
"Thanks for the little talk yesterday." Bobby kissed her cheek,
"No problem sweetheart."
