it was now 2002, Abel was 12 years old and in the 7th grade.

"Today, we are learning about different chemicals. Poisonous ones, safe ones, lethal ones." The science teacher spoke, Abel's eyes widened at the word lethal.

"One of the most lethal chemicals is cyanide, and it comes in many forms. Pills, capsules, even liquid." The teacher said as he pointed to a picture of liquid cyanide that was on the projector.

A sinister smirk creeped onto Abel's face as he fantasized about what he could do if he got his hands on some cyanide, the people he could hurt.

"One injection of cyanide to the neck can kill just about anyone." The teacher spoke.

"Is it legal to buy?" Abel asked.

"Yes, but raise your hand the next time you have a question." The teacher said.

"Sorry." Abel apologized.

"Yeah, raise your hand next time, Tesfaye!" Aiden, the class clown said to Abel, laughing.

Abel just rolled his eyes, trying his best to ignore Aiden.

"Other deadly chemicals are things such as hydrofluoric acid, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde and so on." The teacher continued as he clicked through a slideshow of chemicals.

"Some nontoxic chemicals as most of you may know are oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and more." The teacher spoke as he finished the slideshow. "Any questions?"

"Is methane toxic?" Aiden raised his hand and the class laughed, except for Abel.

The teacher sighed in disapproval, "No, methane is not toxic, Aiden."

"Alright, just checking before I let one rip." Aiden spoke, proceeding to fart.

Abel plugged his nose, "You're truly disgusting." he looked at Aiden.

"Look who's talking, Tesfaye." Aiden laughed.

"I'LL KILL YOU!!!" Abel shouted, standing up.

"Abel! Sit down! Say something like that again and you'll go straight to the principal!" The teacher said to Abel.

Abel sat down, practically shaking with anger. Aiden just chuckled.

FAST FORWARD

After the last bell rang and school had ended for the day, Abel went to pick up Angie from the elementary school across the street.

"Abel!!!!" Angie shouted and ran up to Abel, giving him a big hug.

"Hey Angie, how was your day?" Abel asked.

"Good!" Angie spoke cheerfully.

"That's good!" Abel said, making small talk with her as they walked home.

Once they got in the door, Abel saw Makkonen on the couch, sleeping, as he usually was.

"Okay, quickly go upstairs.." Abel whispered to his little sister as he led her upstairs and into their bedroom.

"Stay here, okay? If you hear footsteps, go under the bed or in the closet, and stay as quiet as possible." Abel instructed, Angie nodded.

Abel left the room and went into his parent's room where his mother was sleeping. He opened the drawer of his father's bedside table and took the huge stack of money that was in it, leaving the room and going back into his own bedroom.

"We're gonna take a quick trip to the drugstore, okay?" Abel said to Angie.

"Okay." Angie replied with a smile, getting off the bed.
