chapter 10: I got to know a bit of you

Flashback

"I'm sorry ken, it's not just you but us," shena said softly towards her soon to be ex boyfriend, she held his hands as he looked at her with a look of confusion. Was she not happy in the relationship? So many thoughts went through his Russian mind that he couldn't explain, and one was why she wasn't happy with him.

He realized later what she meant with her words and then shook his, "it's not us shena, it's you." He said back with the softest and kindest tone he could give.

Now it was her turn to be in confusion, she thought she had thought everything through.

"Did you... Ever love me?" He asked her with a soft painful laugh at the end, he really thought I could be her, his ending.

"Wh...what?" She said as she was a bit oblivious, he gave her a look that meant i-want-an-answer-not- your-stupidity, she looked around for a moment and then answered with, "of course I loved you, things just weren't working out-"

"Of you loved me, you would atleast fought with me, regardless of the small disagreements we had... You wouldn't give up so easily," he said with a disappointed tone, she looked at him with a look of guilt and confusion. Not confusion in the situation, but in herself, was she not satisfied with him?

Ken has all the qualities to a man she could be looking for; rich, fit, a good cook, sensitive towards her feelings, a bit clingy, and a bit more. Was that not what she wanted?

"Even now I feel like it's one sided, did you only date me as a joke?" He said as he felt she insulted him.

"No, no ken, it's not like that!" She denied his assumption

"Then why? Why do you want end this with me?"he asked her softly, he was almost in the verge of years but kept it in. Ever since shena moved to France to continue her modeling career he's liked her, he did everything for her, and it's just been 2 months that he's have her now she wants to call it off? Wouldn't that be... A bit too painful?

She looked at him and couldn't find an answer, she just felt like he was speeding things too much, like; he wanted her to meet his parents, live in together, plan their life together... . Maybe he was too speedy with their relationship.

"Have you ever been inlove shena?" He asked her with a small smile, she couldn't answer because she doesn't know, she never loved him, she didn't know she was only using him to move on from the guy she had a long distance relationship from Korea... And yes, it worked. She's now healed up and doesn't need him, doesn't need ken anymore.

"If you haven't then I feel so sorry for you," he bowed his head as a sarcastic smile left at the end, a single tear fell down. He was able to call her his only for 2 months, atleast in those 2 months she was able to make him happy.

Shena was stunned, she didn't know he loves her this much, he confessed he liked her when she first moved but she didn't know it was this head on.

"I-ill stay the-" she tried to stay but was stopped by him, she pitied his situation and maybe getting back with him would make him feel better.

"Don't..." He shook his head as he hung it down low, "I don't won't you to be with me out of pity, I respect your decision and I respect you." He brought his head up to look at her, until now he admired her face, her rosy pink cheeks and her shining hazel brown eyes.

"It's ok shena... Let's ... Finish this," he nodded, "thanks for making me happy, atleast for awhile."
He thanked the girl who made him whole and also broke his heart.
