The locker space was quite wide, enough for my things. I left my schoolbag there and arranged the books in order of height. I hadn't brought anything but my supplies from school, so at that point there was still a space that I would possibly fill tomorrow with a few extra things. I looked at the class schedule. In the first block I had two hours of history and then algebra class. Suddenly I feel a finger on my shoulder that pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Are you're ready? classes will start shortly." My sister said, her smile did not fade from her face.

"Yes, I'm ready." I put the books and notebooks from the first block in the empty schoolbag, along with other things I would need.

So, there they came, the cheerleading squad or at least a part walking in a triangle. In front, a brown-haired girl with a high ponytail, her skin was fair, her brown eyes and her facial features were beautiful, long eyelashes, small eyes and a fleshy pink mouth. On his left side a beautiful and small young woman, with blond hair that fell in curls and blue-green eyes and finally on his right side a biracial girl of medium height, brown skin, dark brown eyes and her brown hair in curls, she had a pearcing right where the top of the cheerleader uniform exposed her abdomen. The blonde cheerleader not so unconsciously bumped into my sister; anyone could have noticed that she had actually been intentional. The other cheerleaders looked at her with envy, less one. Aline and I just exchanged glances and then we saw them again with a raised eyebrow.

"Look, a whore" Said one of them in a mocking tone.

My sister just laughed and I looked at them with contempt, even though I knew my sister would take it easy, dealing with those kinds of girls was her specialty.

"Don't think I'm going to respond to that insult so immature, basic, silly, empty and most importantly irrelevant to me." My sister answered.

It seemed we talked loud since everyone were talking to each other watching the scene, all with wide eyes, even the cheerleaders who were to both sides.

"And we'd rather not stain our clothes of your sparkled vomit." I told her.

"Excuse me?" The blonde asked indignantly.

"I think you heard quite well or did bulimia affect your hearing ability?" I answered. "Chao" (Chao means bye in spanish)

And as if I had had a clock to tell the time, the bell for the beginning of classes rang and my sister and I passed by their sides avoiding having any physical contact with some of them

"What classes do you have in the first block?"

"The first two hours I've got history and the other two I've got algebra."

"Oh." My sister said sad. "I've got algebra first and then history." Well ..." We had reached my door. "We'll talk later, little brother." She gave me a kiss on the cheek as she went out and ran down the corridor. The heels of his booties clicked against the ground.

It's not that difficult. You just go in, the teacher introduces you, and that's it... I thought, the truth is that the nerves of going into the classroom and doing anything that could make a fool of me was consuming me inside. I sighed and pushed open the door.

The classroom had two large windows in the wall, a desk where a man in his thirties was sitting. Desks arranged in perfect rows in pairs. Boys and girls were sitting on them in distributed ways, and there he was. Paul. That when he realised my presence he gave me a stunning smile, to which I responded out of politeness.

"Can I help you with something?" The teacher asked: Dark skin, brown hair and black eyes.

Suddenly, those nerves that were almost consuming me out there vanished, which gave me the guts to answer. I handed him the attendance paper that was on the other side of the class schedule and he signed his name in the blank.

"I am Adam Sugalite." The stone hanging around my neck seemed to sparkle. "I moved from Coventry, England."

"Welcome to the United States." The teacher answered me with a friendly smile and he told me where to sit.

The chair was right next to a boy who caught my attention in a way that I had only felt once for someone, for Paul, but apart from that uncomfortable feeling ... I could also feel something else more human and less uncomfortable. My stomach lurched at the sight of him and my heart raced. I rested my eyes on him so that I could examine him and notice his apparently perfect details: his hair was soft and black, his face ... very beautiful without a doubt, his eyebrows in perfect shape, his eyes were blue like sapphire, and when I felt them on mine, I felt how the blood rose to my cheeks and made them red. His upturned nose, his cheekbones were a bit noticeable and his lips were pink and full, what I felt was the same as I felt with Paul without a doubt, only this time it was a little stronger and less unpleasant, it was like not being able to see something that you have literally in front of you. My heart was pounding and I could feel it pounding against my chest, almost like it was going to pop out. I just nodded nervously and sat next to him, his body emanated a lot of heat, as if he had a fever but that I could also feel that. He smiled at me, a charming smile, even more so than Paul's.

"Hello." He spoke. His voice was deep and charming. "I'm Julian Hale." He held me out his hand. "A pleasure to meet you."
