My head is pounding

My head is pounding. Is the first thing Minji thought as she woke up. The second thought that crossed her mind was what happened last night because she couldn't remember for her life. She stumbled out of her bed before slowly making her way downstairs, being careful not to fall down as her head continued to spin.

She nearly tripped on her way over to the fridge, the sudden sound of Minji stubbing her toe on the kitchen stool startling the person sitting at the table. Heeseung quickly turned around, seeing Minji holding her mouth open as she gripped onto her toe.

"Fuck." She muttered, still not noticing Heeseung at the table.

"Wow, good job there," Heeseung smirked, making Minji jump. He walked over to her before opening the fridge and handing her a water bottle.

"Did you poison this?" She questioned, surprised by his sudden act of kindness.

"No... you're just gonna need it once you hear about last night." He replied, leaning against the counter and watching her drink the water.

"What happened last night? I barely remember leaving the restaurant." She spoke, setting down the half-empty water bottle.

"Um... Aera broke up with you," Hesseung stated.

"Stop being such an ass, no she didn't--"

"Yeah, she did." He restated, making Minji know he was serious. "You... kissed Sunghoon in the hot tub--"

"What?" She exclaimed a bit too loudly, making Heeseung jolt back. "Why did no one stop me?"

"I did-- someone did... but it was too late. She still broke up with you," Heeseung mumbled back.

"Why wouldn't she tell me on her own?" Minji questioned, only half-talking to Heeseung.

"I'm assuming she was so angry that she didn't want to stick around," Heeseung shrugged.

"Well, I was drunk, I didn't mean it--"

"Don't tell me, tell her." He shrugged before walking upstairs to Jimin's room.

"You shouldn't be drinking, it stunts your brain's growth," Eunji spoke from a chair, Minji just now noticing her sister.

"How much--"

"All of it," Eunji cut her sister off, closing her book and walking towards Minji. "I also heard all of it last night, and Aera told me what happened last night. She said you were dancing with Heeseung and Sunghoon and that you were too close to them, which was why she got mad."

"But, I don't like them, especially Heeseung--"

"Then why did you kiss Sunghoon?" She tilted her head.

"Because Aera was being mean!" Minji shouted back.

"Minji, I'm not trying to defend Aera... but you're not exactly in the right either. The way I see it, you can either never speak to each other again or try to make it up again and be friends," Eunji explained.

"I don't know what to do," Minji sighed, sitting down in a chair.

"I'm sure she doesn't either. She told me she felt bad and that she still loves you... but she doesn't think you love her as much as she does," Eunji replied.

"I don't think I do either..." Minji trailed off, feeling Eunji wrap an arm around her shoulder.

"Well, then... do what you think is right. And if you don't know, then ask Heeseung or Jimin, I think they would know."

And with that, Eunji left her sister, returning to her room as Minji continued mentally hitting herself for kissing her friend. Around 30 minutes later, Jimin, Sunghoon, and Heeseung all came downstairs to see Minji resting her head on the table, and it was clear to them all she was upset about last night.

"Minji..." Jimin trailed off, sitting next to his sister. "I'm sure if you apologize, everything will be fine--"

"I don't want to apologize... because then that means I want to stay with her," Minji whispered back, hoping Sunghoon and Heeseung couldn't hear her.

"Am I just so handsome that I made you want to date me instead?" Sunghoon joked, although from the identical glare the twins sent him his slowly backed away, he and Heeseung grabbing some cereal before taking a seat opposite the Yangs.

"You'll be fine," Jimin whispered, leaning in and giving her a hug. "Besides, dad comes home soon so we'll be able to get our cars finally."

"That's the only good thing I got out of this birthday." She joked, standing up from the table. "Also, I've had my car for a week."

"What? How come he's making me wait for mine?" Jimin whined.

"Because you're younger than me. Besides, everyone knows I'm dad's favorite." Minji teased, jogging up the stairs after grabbing her water.

"Did you do anything to her last night?" Jimin asked, quickly turning to Heeseung. "I came back down to take her back up, but neither of you were there, and when I came back, you were asleep."

"No, of course I didn't," Heeseung shook his head adamantly. "Even if I still liked her, which I don't, I wouldn't do anything when she was drunk and just got dumped."

"What happened then?" Jimin continued asking.

"I just helped her up to her room and gave her clothes to change into, that's it," Heeseung replied.

"If I find out you did anything--"

"Jimin, I swear, I didn't." He stated, finally getting Jimin to back down after a second of eye contact, only to be interrupted by Sunghoon.

"So, do you think she's into me?"

"So, do you think she's into me?"
