PART 13|HIM

I see cordelias face drop, and myrtle chuckles slightly

"Did you say this was a boy, as in male?"

Ariel and Cordelia start to argue more, obviously both protective of their positions right now, I simply look at Zoe as I watch quietly, trying to observe them both

They went on for a while, and a soft spot was touched

Queenie

I never met her, but I knew very well what happened, cordelia had cried so hard about it, thinking herself a failure- she was well respected in the group, to say the least

I tensed as I heard cordelias voice break, having to recall the events, how dare they make her relive that memory?

"I care about all of our people"

I could never agree more of a statement, from my own personal experience as well
I don't even know where I'd be, if not for her- she took me in with open arms, treated me as her equal
Respected me, and cared for me

"There will be no test, that's the councils decision"

This gets Ariel annoyed, another fight breaks out and I close my eyes, looking away from the table, I get up with Zoe as we start to get ready, this council all for nothing

Eventually myrtle and cordelia join us outside the room, and we walk out the room together, only to be greeted with all the boys from the school

Hm, they just had to make it creepy right?

I roll my eyes as we start to leave, wary but confident, trying to not seem unbothered by their presence, I make it near the door as one of the teachers look at me, putting a cigarette in his mouth as he watched us leave, it made me stare at him

But that wasn't the reason I looked at him, his aura was... different, he didn't seem angry, or jealous

He seemed more annoyed, and wary
Very different from the others- he seemed to be someone we could trust, I tried to make another note of that

I continue on, following cordelia quickly, the atmosphere making me shudder of this place, ready to make it home

We get in the elevator, and the same feeling came back, another shiver down my spine, I tried to brush it off again
It was just this place, it's not a good place

The elevator finally opens, and as I'm walking from the elevator, outside, cordelia stops, I'm confused as to why until I look over her shoulder

I see two women, walking towards us, both unfamiliar to me, two younger women, probably the same age as Zoe

But they weren't the people I was focused on, my eyes darted at the person between them
It was him

My breath left me as I peeked between myrtle and Cordelia, slightly hidden from those three people, I look confused until I heard zoe mutter a single word

"Queenie"
Oh- this changes everything

They continued to walk closer, with every step that oh so familiar overwhelming feeling came back, growing stronger and stronger
I almost couldn't take it, until-

The next thing I see is cordelia starting to sway, and finally falling to the ground

In that moment I had completely forgotten everything, Zoe, myrtle, Micheal, to scream and drop to her

"Guys get help, quick, inside" I stammer out, as I finally look up to both of them, eventually the two other girls followed suit- leaving only Michael

I finally found his gaze, his persona almost dropped, once cocky and confident
Now confused- I could see it in his eyes

I started to breathe heavy, everything was too much
He came back, the feeling- Cordelia

It didn't take long before I too dropped to the ground in exhaustion, only hearing the shouts of my name from the girls
And one other
"Eve..."

-TIME SKIP-

I awoke slowly, blinking a couple times to adjust to the warm light, I was on a sofa- with a blanket on top

I look around to notice myrtle and Zoe sat down not too far from me, my throat felt dry as I tried to speak

"What happened?" I managed to wince out
In an instant they both came over to me, Zoe kneeling in front of my face

"You passed out after Cordelia, are you feeling okay?" I look up at zoe processing the events, in an instant I try to get up but myrtle pushes me back down

"Not so fast dear angel, we don't want you to fall again now do we?" She soothes me, but I still prop myself up looking around

"Where's Cordelia?" I asked somewhat panicked, sighing as I looked up to both of them, hoping for an answer

"She's still asleep" zoe answers simply, making my panic lessen, but I still persist as I slowly try and place my feet on the floor, now sitting upright

"Please take me to her" I ask of them, they do nothing until I look up again
"Please" I beg, and they finally cave, carefully walking me towards another room- where Cordelia was

And there she was- still unconscious
She looked so peaceful, but it still gave me an uneasy feeling as I looked at her, my face slowly breaking as my eyes started to fog

They sat me down on the chair beside where she rest, and I waited patiently until she would awake- not yet acknowledging the other strangers in the room

It was an awkward silence for a while, all mutually concerned but, still awkward
Until an unfamiliar girl started to speak

"so, new members to replace us already?" and I look at her, no expression on my face

"I'm not a member, nor am I here to replace you" I respond simply, too tired and worried to explain myself, but she still goes on

She scoffs at me "well I doubt you're so fucking important they'd let you so easily know about the witches, I mean I'd be embarrassed too if you weren't even here for skill, just a replacement"

Anyone else would be upset; but I could already tell this was just a defense mechanism- and I let it go

There's no time to make enemies amongst friends
