We had our first dinner in the castle.
“Ajax says, we’re extremely low on food since Alistar brought all these other Fey here.” Willow tells me.
I nod. “Hector, would you mind-” I start.
“I’m not spending a whole day trying to get enough fish for a whole village.” He interrupts.
“I was going to ask you to teach some of them how to fish, or hunt.” I finished.
“Oh, right, I can do that.”
“Thank you, is there any other immediate business we need to take care of?” I ask them.
“That’s all I can think of.” Willow replies.
“You sound like you’ve gotten the hang of this already.” Agathon says, amused.
     “Are you mocking me?”
     “Of course not, love.”
I blush at the new nickname he gave me. “Well, since there isn’t anything here that needs attention, I think we should do something about Liam, he may be where he can’t hurt humans, but I’m sure he’s wreaking havoc on any living thing he can find.”
“Who is this Liam?” Crimson asks.
All of them besides Agathon nod, not knowing who he is.
     “He-” I start.
“Liam, killed my family and tried to kill all of Chloe’s as well.” Agathon cuts in, surprising me by trusting everyone to tell them about his past.
“So, what, you want to kill him?” Crimson asks eagerly.
“I don’t want to have any part in that.” Cyfrin shrinks.
“I know I wasn’t too fond of you when you first came here, but I’ll have your back.” Hector says.
“No one is killing anyone, I was thinking of trapping him in a dungeon or something.” I explain.
     “The first prisoner!” Kenji exclaims.
“Chloe,” Agathon murmurs. “Don’t forget he can still wreak havoc in a cell. We might have to kill him.”
I stand up. “We will have to find another way or cross the bridge when we get to it.” I walk out of the room, from a different doorway than where I came from.
I found myself on the side of the castle where the queen lived, I found her room easy enough, it was the biggest one. Dreams helped me before, maybe they will again. I thought. I layed down on the dusty bed and thought about the last queen.

I re-dreamt about the war, only this time I was in the queen's body. Thoughts that weren’t my own came into my mind. The only way they can’t hurt anyone is to make them powerless. I need to get up higher to be nearer the moons.
So that’s how she did it, something about the moon gave her this power? I question.
She/I flew up, higher and higher…

I wake up covered in dust. I know what to do now. I rush back to my room, but go to Agathons instead. “Pst, Agathon.”
He’s snoring with one arm slung over his face, he twitches when I say his name.
     “Agathon, wake up.”
This time he’s awake, and alert, thinking something happened, he has a knife in his hand.
     “Calm down, nothings attacking you.”
He puts the knife down. “Chloe, why didn’t you answer me last night?”
     “What do you mean?”
“I wanted to make sure you were alright, but you didn’t let me in your room or talk to me.”
“I didn’t sleep in my room last night. I slept in the queen's room, I was looking for answers.”
     “Did you find them?”
I nod. “I did, can we go today?” I ask.
“Sure, how many people do you want to take?”
“I just need you to take me there.”
“You don’t want any backup? What if he tries something?”
     “It’s ok, I got it.” I promise.
We don’t eat breakfast, we just leave.

There’s no sign of him, he hasn’t been here long enough to kill Ennaety.
“Do you have any idea where he is?” I ask Agathon.
“No, but I’m sure if we’re here long enough he’ll find us.”
“Come to pay your respects?” Liam sulks out of the bushes. “Surprised to see me alive?”
“No, I was hoping you were alive.” I say.
“Hoping you could finish the job yourself?” He sneers, he looked worse, if possible, than the last time I saw him.
“I want to stop you from hurting people ever again.”
“And how do you expect me to cooperate?”
“I know you won’t, that’s why Agathon is here to-”
“To kill me if I run?”
I glare at him. “Stop assuming and stop interrupting me.” I snap.
“Well, if you’re not here to kill me, then I best be going.” He dashes off through the same bushes he was just in.
“Would you mind getting him?” I ask Agathon.
He nods before flying through the bushes after Liam. He came back a few minutes later with Liam slung over his shoulder.
“Drop him on the ground.” I instruct.
He does so and I start drawing Liams power of blocking from him, using it to block his own forever. It’s over within minutes.
“It’s over now, let's go.” I say, exhausted now.

As the months went on we fixed up the village, trained everyone to fight wendigo and chased the rest out.
The castle is full of life like it was in Agathon's childhood.
Alister came back a month after the battle because Zaras missed his brother. It took a lot of apologizing and a few weeks of talking to get Alister to at least not hate him.

The end

AUTHOR’S NOTE

It took me about five years to write this and I must say I am actually quite proud of how it turned out.

I did not know how it was going to end until the very last chapter.

It was very difficult for me to finish this and say goodbye to all my friends here, but I can always remember all the good pages I kept in and all the many changes I made throughout the years writing this.

I hope you enjoyed reading this and I hope to make another one sometime in the far future, but for now I must work on the other books I am writing.
