Hamato Michaelangelo smiled to himself as he was awakened by his alarm which played the TMNT theme song. He sat up in bed, tied on his mask and grabbed his T-phone, shutting off the alarm. He turned it on using a brail button before speaking into it loudly and clearly.

"What time is it?" His phone beeped obve before speaking back in a robotic voice. "It is currently 8:00 a.m., the forecast tonight is warm and partly cloudy. Have a good day."

"Thanks, Beeps!" Mikey smiled, as he had named his T-phone. Thank goodness Donnie had equipped Mikey with the T-phone. Before it was invented, Mikey had to rely on his brothers or Splinter to tell him what time it was.

Mikey has been blind all his life. It happened during his mutation. When he mutated, Mikey got mutageon in his eyes which caused them to become dull and glazed over, rendering him sightless.

Splinter knew right after the mutation that something was wrong with his youngest son's eyes. Mikey would crawl to him and bump into things and wouldn't respond when his father or brothers walked in front of him. Splinter quickly realized that Mikey was blind. He would be forever.

But, the older brothers and Splinter were never phased by Mikey's handicap. They didn't mind that he was blind and loved and accepted him no matter what. They were extremely overprotective though.

Splinter still trained Mikey in the ways of ninjitsu, often doing one-and-one sessions with him to help him learn. It took Mikey a while to learn new things, but he never minded and always kept trying.

Mikey hummed as he left his bedroom and walked into the kitchen to make breakfast. He knew the lair well enough to not need to use a cane to help him get around. He also was used to cooking blind as well.

It always impressed his family that he was able to cook and train so well. "Morning, Mikey!" Leo greeted as he walked into the kitchen. "Hey, Leo!" Mikey placed a big plate of bacon, eggs and pancakes on the table, followed four more.

"Mmm, this looks amazing little brother! Uh, you didn't hurt yourself this time, right?" Raph asked as he sat down at the table. They all knew Mikey got hurt easily sometimes, that always upset them.

Mikey shook his head. "Nah, I was careful this time, Raphie!" He grinned as Donnie and Splinter joined them. "Good!" They all ate breakfast while talking casually.

"Training shall begin in an hour." Splinter smiled as he began to wash the dishes. "Okay, sensei/father/dad/papa!" The turtles hurried off to do their own things.

Mikey ran to the living room area and made his way to the couch. He grabbed one of his comics, which was in brail. Mikey laughed as he read it and made himself comfortable on the couch.

Leo sat beside him. "Enjoying your comic book, little brother? Mikey nodded, leaning towards Leo's voice. Leo hugged him close, cuddling him as Mikey read his book.

Raph was listening to music in his room and Donnie was in his lap looking over the blueprints of his latest invention. Mikey read his comic for a few minutes before feeling bored.

"I'm gonna find out what Donnie is doing!" He decided, getting up from couch. Leo chuckled a bit. "Good luck with that." Donnie rarely let Mikey in his lab. Mikey made his way there and knocked.

"Hey D, can I come in?" Donnie opened the door. "Sure otouto, but please be careful." Donnie replied as Mikey walked in. "I won't break anything this time, really!" Mikey promised with sincerity in his voice.
