AND THUS, THOR WEARED THE JARNGREIPR TO PROTECT HIS OWN HANDS FROM THE HAMMER. JARNGREIPR, THE PERFECT FOIL TO MJOLNIR. IN OTHER WORDS, HEAVEN'S STRONGEST GARMENT.

"YOATL'S OWN BLADE WAS ABLE TO SMASH JARNGREIPR TO PIECES!"  Heimdall announced to the crowd.

Yoatl swung her steaming blade to the side as she gave a toothy grin to Thor. Thor was looking at his hand in surprise.

"I see. So that's the extent of their plan." Said Hermes

"So you noticed." Stated Zeus.

"The sworn duty of the Valkyrie is the guidance of souls. They descended to the earth, taking note of humanity's finest warriors and leading them to Valhalla. Where, in preparation for a assault against heaven, they formed a army of the gods. However since ancient times a certain rumor has been going round heaven. It says that the Valkyries goal was to never form an army. It's said that the warriors summoned to Valhalla bonded with the Valkyrie, and the Valkyrie would transform into the weapon best fit for their wielder. In exchange for a power of a god, the warriors would offer their very being. That exchange was said to be called VOLUND. Hence the souls gathered by the Valkyries were granted the power to fight gods. That is the essence of this Ragnarok am I right?" Hermes stated while Zeus got angry.

"Yes that's right. Those pissy little girls against us mighty gods. THIS IS A REBELLION!" Zeus's grip broke the armrest on his chair. 

"But to think the Valkyries would seriously turn their blades on us. this is just. THE GREATEST THRILL I'VE HAD EVER SINCE THE BIG BANG!" Zeus said with a creepy smile and hearts in his eyes as he turned to look over at Brunhilde.

"Quit staring over here. Creepy Motherfucking geezer." Thought Brunhilde with a straight face. She then looked to the arena and widened her eyes.

Yoatl looked at the hammer on the ground with a confused look. The hammer started releasing steam and the ground under it bubbled.

"THIS IS AMAZING FOALK JUST LIKE THE LEGENDS ITS WHITE HOT! AS WELL THOR-SAMA HAS LOST ONE OF HIS GAUNTLETS CAN HE EVEN WEILD HIS MIGHTY HAMMER ANYMORE!" Heimdall yelled to the crowd.

"Finally. You've awakened." Said Thor as several red veins burst through the hammer's metal shell.

"IT'S GOT VEINS! THAT THINGS ALIVE!" Screamed a frightened Geir.

"Oh so Mjolnir finally awakened." Zeus said happily.

"Awakened you say?" Asked Hermes.

"There's a slight misunderstanding in the legend surrounding Jarngreiper and Mjolnir. The gloves purpose wasn't to protect Thor from Mjolnir. Instead it was there to protect Mjolnir from Thor's powerful swings before it could awaken." Zeus explained to Hermes.
