(ARRIVAL)

"Flight attendants, prepare for landing please." "Cabin crew, please take your seats for landing." The voice speaks from the voicebox. I feel the weight of Ziryahs head pressing down on my shoulder. She squints to look around.

"We're already here?"

I nod putting my arm around her neck, hugging and kissing her. Once the announcer tells us we've landed, I grin and sit up straight.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have just been cleared to land at the Tweed New Haven Airport." The purser guy says with a mic In hand.  "[American Airlines] welcomes you to (New Haven]. The local time is [4:34 AM]. For your safety and the safety of those around you, please remain seated with your seat belt fastened and keep the aisle(s) clear until we are parked at the gate."

I looked at Ziryah with a wide smile.

"We're here. Can you believe it?"

She pecks my cheek. "I can believe as much as I can see."

The announcer says we're good to unload, So I get up and pull out the baggage duffle bags, and set them in the seat to check if anything fell out.

"Please feel free to leave behind any of your items in the overhead compartment; I'm having a yard sale this weekend." He gives everyone a grinned teeth show. Someone snickers but personally, I thought it was just corny.

"Come on," I say Guiding Ziryah in front of me.

Everyone was piling out, Once We reach the exit, The one guy who gave that corny joke looked right at Ziryah and doesn't even give one glance at me.

"Cheerio," He says looking at her keeping a straight face. I purposely step on his shoe unseen. Hearing him grunt in a growl, I smirk.

TAXI TAKEN TO SCHOOLS CAMPUS FOR APPLICATIONS

"Thank you," I say to the taxi driver. Ziryahs arm's tangled in mine.  I look around and take in the school in front of us.

The people all crowded to get their applications turned in. I start forward. And push past the people.

"Aye, Watch it." A man says giving me a hard eye.

"Sorry, please excuse us." I push forward ignoring the comment he makes under his breath. We get up to the school's door and walk in, allowing all the people to lead us the way to go. We find the office. Get in and watch as she gestures for us to have a seat.

I pull out the paper I printed, the application I did online. I had one for both me and Ziryah.

"Thank you," She says grabbing them and glazing over them both. I wait, we wait. Then with the silence dwelling irritatingly, she breaks the quiet by clearing her throat.

"Well, Mr. Vail, I do say." She shifts in her chair. Looks harder at my application than me.

"Are you claiming you're Vail's grandson?" She looks up. "Mr. Vail, the actual Mr. Vails grandson?"  She looks even harder at me and it gets me really nervous even though I'm well aware of why she's acting like this.

"Um. . .Emrick?" Ziryah says placing a soft hand on my arm. "Why-" She looks at me offensively.

"Wait. . .Vail?" She said seeming to be hurt. She looks to the side and laughs. "How-" She stops to think. "You said it was just a coincidence."

I look at her pitifully.

"Well. Our school would love to have you attend this school.
