Chapter 39 | You Make Me Happy
[Y/N]

Letting out a frustrated sigh, you stared at your phone as if you were waiting for it to give you an answer to life's greatest mystery: why wasn't Sungjae answering your calls?

You tried calling his number once again.

"You've reached the phone of the most handsome hacker. I'm not available right now, due to unforeseen reasons. If you're the police, I don't use this phone so get lost. If you're my friend, I may use this phone depending on who you are. Leave a message after the beep."

You sighed. "Sungjae, I'm starting to get a little worried. I called you about 2 weeks ago and you still haven't gotten back to me. Is everything alright? I tried calling Hyunsik oppa and Ilhoon oppa but they weren't answering their phones either. If you don't call me back in 3 days, I'm coming and breaking down your door. Call me back please, or at least message me."

As soon as you hung up the phone, you felt arms coming around your waist. Yelping, you heard the familiar chuckle of a certain Fox Hybrid.

"Jimin, you scared me!" You couldn't help but chuckle.

"So sorry," he said in a tone that seemed quite opposite. "Is he still not answering your calls?"

"No," you sighed once again. "It's so weird, the longest he went without getting back to me was a week and that was because he was upset that I embarrassed him in front of his mates. I'm just worried about him."

Jimin nodded, he wasn't too fond of Sungjae since their first meeting. But, you told them how important he was to you. How you, Sungjae, and Eunwoo had been friends for a very long time and how they were the ones comforting you after your traumatic experience. Since then, Jimin had no hard feelings toward the Human. He was thankful that Sungjae and Eunwoo had been there for you when he and his mates couldn't have. Also, he was thankful that because of his hacking prowess, Namjoon and he at least had a name for the man responsible for the kidnappings.

"I'm sure, he'll get your threatening message and call you back in a day or two," Jimin teased with a chuckle.

You couldn't help but laugh along. "He'd better."

"He will," Jimin chuckled. "Most definitely. I mean, you can be quite frightening."

Your jaw dramatically dropped and you grabbed your heart dramatically. "How dare you Park Jimin. I'm the kindest person you can ever meet."

Jimin raised his eyebrow. There was a moment of silence between you and Jimin before you two began laughing. Slowly the laughter died down and Jimin looked at you with complete fondness.

"You know, I think it's a little unfair that I'm the last one who was able to scent you," Jimin said with a small pout.

"Oh really?" You asked with an amused smile.

"I mean, I was the first person to meet you, so technically, I've been the one who was waiting the longest to scent you," Jimin said with a smile.

"Well, think of it this way," you suggested. "You were the first person I met, so naturally I am a little closer to you than all the others. Not to mention, you were the one to suddenly blurt out that I'm your mate. I didn't even get to converse with Jungkook before you had to just catch me off guard like that." You laughed at the memory.

"Oh my god," Jimin whined, the memory of that day hitting him like a truck.

You couldn't help but laugh at how embarrassed Jimin got.

"It's not my fault, your friend was purposefully riling me up," Jimin defended himself, although his ears were bright red.

"Aw, poor baby," you cooed teasing him a little more.

Jimin huffed as he suddenly stood a little straighter, looking at you with a darker look. You couldn't tell if he was playing around or if you crossed the line and made him upset and mad.

He stalked toward you like a predator and you couldn't help but step backward. You kept your eyes on Jimin trying to figure him out, why his mood suddenly shifted.

Soon, you felt the wall on your back. Jimin smirked as he walked up, closing the gap between the two of you. He placed his hands on either side of your head, successfully locking you in.

"Don't say things you won't be able to handle," Jimin's voice lowered drastically, causing chills to run down your spine.

"Jimin-" you began but you were quickly cut off by the feeling of Jimin's lips on yours.

For a split second, your eyes widened at the sudden kiss. But then you quickly melted into the kiss, your eyes closing willingly. As your lips moved in tandem with his, you felt him closing the space between the two of you.

Jimin's hand left the wall behind your head and wrapped around your waist, pulling you even closer to him. Your arms went around his neck, pulling him closer to you.

Both of you, at the same time, pulled away to breathe. He placed his forehead on yours and smiled.

"You know, when we first met, I was so drawn to you. I didn't know why, but I didn't hate it," Jimin confessed in a whisper. "Then when I learned that you were our mate, I was so happy. You make me happy, Y/N-ah."

"You mean it?" You asked, your voice also very quiet.

"With all my heart," Jimin nodded. "I... no we're never going to leave you. We'll always be here for you. I swear."

You couldn't help but smile. You truly were blessed to have such wonderful men as your mate. You couldn't ask for anyone better.

"I'm going to hold you to that," you said with a giggle.

Jimin chuckled before he kissed your forehead.

"And I'm not going to break that promise," Jimin said with a firmness that made you believe every word he said.

He leaned to your face and kissed your cheek. Then he moved to kiss the corner of your lip. He kissed your jaw next. Then he kissed your sweat glands. Then he moved up and kissed your lips once more.

Both of you felt like you were on cloud 9, hoping that this feeling will never disappear even with time.
