Spooky's Army of Jumpscares

Prologue

There is a house with little history known about it. A house from which few return. An impossible labyrinth.

They say it is haunted, something happened there. The strangest part, this place only appears at night. During the day, nothing exists on that hill. Almost like it was never there.

It has claimed hundreds of lives over the years, ever since first appearing in town.

The first was a young boy named Aaron Perez. He went into the place when dared by classmates around the early seventies.

After he went missing, a couple of friends went looking for him too. They also went missing as well.

A girl went in after her brother in the eighties. She has gone missing and is presumed dead.

Around the early two- thousands, an author went into that place. He had heard about the stories and thought it would've been a great inspiration for his latest novel.

He went in, and to this day, nobody has seen him. There was a lawsuit, but that didn't go anywhere.

Nobody knows exactly where the strange place came from. It is shrouded in mystery because no record exists of who built it, and for what reason.

The only fact well known by people is that you stay away from it. Tie yourself to a tree, jump in a lake, or play a game like Bloody Mary.

There have been many attempts to destroy or bulldoze the place down, but for whatever reason, it hasn't happened. Sometimes the workers go missing, other times they quit after only a few hours.

Just don't go into that dreadful mansion of no return. You won't make it out, you can't brave through one-thousand rooms of pure terror. At least that's what people believe, that the mansion is endless.

That didn't stop them. For years people ventured up the hill, trying to discover the secret, curious, or tricked to end up in the endless halls. Whatever the reason, lives were lost yearly. Sometimes more than five at a time. Research parties were made to try and go to the place, but even the cops haven't found a lead anywhere. Most cases end up with the authorities themselves going missing.

It takes hours even to reach the place, but once somebody steps inside, it's near impossible getting out.

Adults aren't the only ones victim to this strange house, kids and teenagers have also found themselves trapped in this place.

Though it happens anytime at night, the most common occurrence has been on Hallows Eve aka Halloween.

There have been precautions taken to make sure nobody goes up there. It worked for a very short time, until the authorities guarding the entrance went missing.

Eventually, the people gave up and passed down stories of the house, the one not to enter.

For a long time, few people went missing. It was an estimated two or three a year.

However, one day a history enthusiast went up that hill and into the derelict mansion to shed some light on the mystery.

While they would find something to fill the void, it wasn't for a cost. They were the last nail in the coffin.

Now, the mansion's goal was complete, but the mission wouldn't be over.

People don't get scared of cute kawaii ghosts in this day and age. While few would be frightened, it won't be enough.

Unfortunately, the time has come for the world to be truly afraid, and there was only one way to do that.
