-Remembering You-

Sometimes I remember the way you made me smile away,

Sometimes I remember the way you made me laugh along,

Sometimes I remember the way you danced in the summer,

Sometimes I remember the way you sang in the winter...

But all that's done and gone now; it's down the drain and out of sight,

But all that's done and gone now; it's left me for dust and took to the sky,

But all that's done and gone now; it's burned me and beat me and left me to die,

But all that's done and gone now; it's hit me where it hurts the most...

Whenever I hear your name I think: Wonder and Wisdom,

Whenever I hear your name I think: Trust and Truth,

Whenever I hear your name I think: Loyal and Lovely,

Whenever I hear your name I think: Funny and Fantastic...

I remember the day you left me; the bombs and bullets, the bruises and blood,

I remember the day you left me; the monsters and the mayhem, the marks and the memories,

I remember the day you left me; the horror and the hearts, the houses and the holes,

I remember the day you left me; the screams and the silence, the sadness and the scars...

You're gone, and you're not coming back; but that doesn't mean I can't remember you.
