Happy News (Kyo x Tohru)

Happy News

It was a peaceful morning in the Sohma household, Tohru was soundly asleep as the sun was coming up. Tohru begin to shift and flutter her eyes open due to the clashing noise she was hearing, as her eyes are finally fully open she notice Kyo was missing from his spot next to her on the bed. 

She took a look at the clock next to her night stand. "It's 7 AM he should be getting ready for work by now." Said Tohru as she was getting out of bed and heading downstairs. When she was making her way to the kitchen she spot kyo making breakfast.

Kyo turned around and notice Tohru coming over to him. "Oh you're awake. I'm sorry did I wake you?" Kyo said as he turn the stove low and walks over caressing her cheek and give her a peck on the lips. "Its fine I needed to wake up to see you go off to work  at the dojo." Tohru smiles and then stares at the stove.

"Kyo you could of woke me up when you woken up, I would of made Breakfast so you would have much more time to get ready for work." Tohru's smile disappeared, Kyo smiled and tap her on the head "You dummy I just wanted you to sleep some more before you go to work today also." Tohru looked up "Really?" Kyo nodded and then started to scratch the back of his head "I also wanted to make breakfast for you, since you do it every morning for me." Tohru smiled "Oh ok! Ill sit at the table." As she makes her way to the kitchen table, Kyo turns off the stove and place both eggs and bacon on each plate. He turns his head looking for an answer as he asks a question.

"Do you want some toast as well?" Kyo takes out the toast from toaster and starts buttering it. "Yes please." Tohru smiled as she loves watching Kyo making food for her. "Here it is!" As Kyo walks towards the kitchen table and places a plate next to Tohru along with a plate next to where he going to sit. "Oh wow Kyo this looks delicious!" Kyo laughed as he handed Tohru a fork and then sat down. "You know if you keep staring at it, its just going to be cold." Tohru giggled "Hehe sorry!" As Tohru took a bite of her food she her stomach begin to turn. 

Kyo Noticed the expression on her face changed "What's wrong? is it not good?" Kyo was concern. "No it taste great!" Tohru said as she was chewing her food then she finally swallow. Kyo face still showed great concern as he saw Tohru cover her mouth with her hand and race towards where the bathroom is. 

"Tohru?!" Kyo got out of his chair and race to her side in the bathroom. Tohru was heaving she was on her knees and hands on the toilet seat. Kyo was gently rubbing circles on her back. "Are you alright?" Kyo said as he was rubbing her back.  "Yeah.... I might of caught a flu or something..." Tohru was wiping her mouth as kyo help her up. "Maybe you should call sick today and lie down and rest." as he walks her back upstairs to their room, then tucks her into their bed.  Kyo looks at the time then looks at Tohru. "I'm going to call you in sick then go to work but first I'm going to make you take medicine." as Kyo walked into their bathroom to look for tylenol.


Tohru felt bad making Kyo do all this for her, she wondering how she got sick in the first place. Kyo came back with one cup of water in hand and the pill in the other. "Here take this and get some sleep." as he handed Tohru the pill and water, she took the pill and lie down. "I'm sorry you had to do this Kyo and I probably made you late for work." Said sorry Tohru. "Its ok I just want you better and besides the kids could wait a little." Kyo said as he give her a peck on the cheek. 

"Well i'm going to call your workplace then head off but Tohru I better not see you out of bed when I get back. " Said Kyo in a serious tone. "But Kyo what about the chores that need to be done?" Tohru said as half her head was under the blanket. "I will take care of them when I get back." Said kyo as he kissed her head and head out of the room. "I'll be back soon." Said Kyo as he left the bedroom. Tohru slowly shut her eyes and fell asleep. 



Couple of hours later


Kyo opened the front door of their house as he was carrying a bag with his stuff in it, he suddenly spotted Tohru vacuuming the living room. He dropped his bag and walk towards Tohru. "Hey I thought I told you to stay in bed." Kyo said a he was feeling Tohru forehead. "I got bored and besides I'm feeling pretty fine." Tohru smiled as she moves the vacuum. "Well you don't seem warm if you aren't feeling well tell me ok." Said Kyo as he went to go grab his bag that he drop, Tohru nodded and they continue on their day.


Tohru was fine all afternoon and night Kyo was relieve of that as both of them head to bed and saying goodnight to each other. couple of hours later Kyo woke up by noises coming from the bathroom.  He got up and walked to the bathroom to check out the noise. He opened the slightly open door as he stared at a puking Tohru at the toilet. "Oh Tohru." Kyo said as he sat down next to her rubbing her back and lifting some of her hair up. 

"I think we should go see Hatori later." Kyo said as he was grabbing something for Tohru to wipe her mouth. "Ok..." Said Tohru tired as she was wiping her mouth, they both went to bed. 

Later in the day Tohru and Kyo went to the Sohma estate to see Hatori. They were both in his office as he was asking what symptoms she been having, they were both having a long conversation. 

"Hmm these symptoms seem to familiar." Said Hatori as he was writing down her symptoms. "Well is it serious?!" Kyo said in a serious tone. "Relax she not dying if you think that." He said as he went to go grab something. "Could you go to the closest washroom and use this." Said Hatori as he handed Tohru a pregnancy test. 

Both Kyo and Tohru are in shocked after what Hatori given Tohru. Kyo was frozen he didn't know what to think or say. Meanwhile Tohru got up and head to the washroom while Hatori and Kyo wait for her. 

Couple minutes late Tohru came back with the pregnancy test in hand as she open the door on the way in Kyo got up in a hurry from his chair as Hatori just simply turn his head towards her. "Well.. well what is it?" Said Kyo looking very on edge for the answer. 

Tohru had tears going down her face as she smile and said "It's positive!"  Kyo went up to her and hugged her while tears are still in his eyes. "Congratulations you two." Said Hatori as he grin at the two of them. 


Later that day Tohru was sitting on the porch at home looking at the stars and moon. Kyo walked outside to sit next to Tohru handing her a drink. "Can't you believe it Kyo we are going to be parents!" Said Tohru taking a sip of her drink. "Yeah I get the feeling this house wont be quiet from now on." As he smiled and look towards Tohru. "You're going to be a great mother." Said Kyo as he was caressing her face. "Well you're going to be the greatest dad ever!" She said with excitement. 

"Well shall we head inside its getting cold." Said kyo as he kisses Tohru on the lips. "Yeah." Tohru said as she holds Kyo's hand and walked inside their house.
