It was a winters night and the wolves were out. Carson wished he could join his pack in the fun and games but he had to look after his boyfriend Jack who had no idea about Carson and his family being part wolf.
The wolves howled and growled as they fought one another, messing around. The howling and growling made the small human boy (that was curled up in Carson's arms) stir and toss and turn. He got slightly annoyed but then Jack slowly calmed back down and soon fell asleep again.
Carson slowly got out of bed, he opened the window and whispered, "Guys be quiet people are sleeping"
"Yes Alpha" One of the cubs replied.
All of the wolves ran into the woods.
"What are you doing Carson?" Jack mumbled half-asleep.
"I can't sleep so I was just looking outside" Carson told his boyfriend, as much as he hated lying to him, he couldn't risk Jack finding out about him and his family for their safety and the pack's safety.
The two boys had only been dating for a couple of months and they had only just started having sleepovers at Carson's house since Jack's parents didn't know about them dating. Jack would just tell them that he's having a boys night.
However, Jack's parents had left the town so the two lovers would take it in turns. Jack finally got to show his boyfriend his house and his room. That night they were at Carson's of course. His parents had gone out for the night probably to hunt with his sister, but Jack didn't know that.
The two boys were in the house alone and it was about three minutes after midnight.
"Did you hear the wolves?" Jack asked sitting up and yawning, turning the lamp on that was next to him.
The lamp filled the room with a warm yellow-white colour. The room was painted white with shelves screwed to one wall that had photos of the pair together and another one that had crystals on them, the floor was covered with glossy-white floorboards.
"Yeah, I did" Carson said, still focusing on the outside, "Did they wake you up?" He asked finally drawing his attention to his human boyfriend.
"Kind of" He yawned.
Carson frowned and went over to him, he loosely wrapped his arms around his waist not wanting to make Jack feel uncomfortable with their position since they were both still new to all of the boyfriend stuff.
"Carso, you dont need to be so unsure what to do, I don't care what you do with me as long as you love me and mean what you do, I've told you this so many times" Jack told him turning around in his arms to face the taller male who he had named 'Carso'
Only Jack was allowed to call Carson Carso, they had special nicknames like for Jack Carson would call him Jacky and Jack would call him Carso.
"I know I know, I just don't wanna make you uncomfortable..."
"Carson, you have never made me feel uncomfortable" Jack told him placing his hands on Carson's shoulders.
Carson tilted his head down and rested his forehead against Jack's who was a few inches smaller than him.
They were both thirteen years old with Jack just being a few months (3 months exactly) older than him, he was 5'3 and Carson was 5'7. He had dirty blonde hair that was always fluffy but a neat mess where as Carson had white, almost silver, hair that was always a mess, no neatness to it, occasionally he would make it neat just to make Jack happy. Though the boys looked nothing alike they soon got used to each others styles and appearences.
Carson prefers shirts and jeans with a chain whilst Jack prefers over-sized hoodies and skinny jeans with rips at the knees. Jack would occasionally steal Carson's hoodies since he was muscly unlike Jack -who people called 'The Stick Kid'- because they were comfortable, smelt like his boyfriend and just because he liked them.
Carson never really wore hoodies so he only buys them for Jack to steal which is sweet of him.
"Hey.. I'm being serious babe.." Jack said throwing Carson off guard since that was the first time either of them had called them anything other than their names and nicknames they came up with.
Carson smiled at Jack and kissed his head, "Don't tease me and just kiss me already! I feel like I've been waiting for you to kiss me for years!" Jack blurted out.
Carson chuckled at his boyfriends words and pulled him into an innocent, passionate, love filled kiss.
They both pulled away smiling at each other, "I've been wanting to do that for a while" Carson admitted.
"Well please do it more often, you're a good kisser"
"Speak for yourself Jack"
The two boys stood there for a few minutes, neither of them wanting to pull away from the embrace.
"Come on, lets get back into bed and sleep. I'm tired" Jack whined causing Carson to roll his eyes but he still listened.
He decided to take things a step closer and picked up Jack bridal style gently placing him in the bed and cuddling him instantly. The two boys lay there in the silence and the only noise that could be heard was their breathing.
Carson reached over and turning off the lamp causing the room to dive into darkness instantly. Jack hated the dark and Carson knew he did so he turned the little night light on for him and hugged him tighter to keep him comfortable.
Jack rolled on his side to face Carson and he kissed his cheek, Carson smiled at him, "Goodnight baby, sleep tight" Carson whispered. Jack gave him a small nod and slowly fell into his dreams leaving Carson alone, lying there cuddling him, nothing to keep the half-wolf human entertained.
'This is the worst problem of being a wolf, I can never sleep thanks to my nocturnal animal' Carson thought to himself, 'I may as well try to sleep'
Carson closed his eyes and matched his breathing with Jacks breathing.
After over twenty-five minutes of trying to sleep, Carson let his human part guide him into the world of peace where nothing could be heard and the only thing that could be seen were his dreams.
He dreamt of his future with the boy in his arms. Them getting married, adopting a kid since they were both male and couldn't naturally have kids and just what it would be like. He also dreamt after that, that Jack found out about him being part wolf.
On the other hand, Jack dreamt about how vampires and wolves didn't get along and how he wished so much they would.
Even though the boys seem close, there were secrets, massive secrets, that they didn't tell each other and they both felt guilty about hiding it.
