Carson's Secret

Chapter 4 - Busted

"Babe? I'm going out, ok? I shouldn't be too long" Carson told his boyfriend, who was curled up against his side.

Jack looked at him with a questioning look but nodded either way.

Carson got up and went to their room, he grabbed whatever gear he may need like: Boxing gloves, a bat, a gun, a knife and more weapons that could come in handy.

During this, he hadn't noticed Jack (who had snuck up the stairs) watching his every move, every step and every action.

Carson let out a soft sigh as he let out his ears and tail, Jack let out quiet gasp but quickly covered his mouth and moved from the door.

Carson's ears twitched when he heard the gasp and looked at the door frame but no one was there. Carson quietly snuck off down the stairs not seeing his boyfriend still around the corner.

The older boy decided to follow the human wolf to see where he was going. They ended up at the edge of the forest. The human wolf howled and wolves came charging towards him and sitting down.

"Alright wolves! As you all know my parents and sister are off doing a mission... I won't be around for a while so Cherry is in charge! Be good" Carson said.

"Yes Alpha" Another wolf replied but of course Jack didn't understand what the wolf had said all he heard was a howl.

"Good now let's go hunt!" With that last sentence, Carson turned around and saw Jack.

"Care to explain?" Jack asked.

Carson's ears and tail went down, quiet whimpering escaped his mouth.

"Wait- no don't be sad.." Jack said feeling bad.

Carson stepped back as his boyfriend went to hug him, "babe.., I'm not scared of you..." Jack told Carson.

The poor Alpha looked at the small boy then the pack.

"You've messed it up now Carson..., you're out the pack" Cherry, the Alpha of her pack that joined up with Carson's pack, said.

Carson turned around and looked at Cherry, "you can't do that! We agreed that I'm the alpha and you're the back up for when I'm not here!" He growled, turning into full wolf.

Cherry walked towards Carson growling, "you're out wether you like it or not!"

Carson started to get annoyed and pounced on her, Cherry threw him off and he flung into a tree trunk. He stood up and shook it off. He ran back to Cherry but before he could do anything she scratched him across the eye making him half blind.

"I thought we were friends Cherry..."

"I'm telling your parents"

"You don't need to tell us" Carson's dad said sternly, he was in his half form. He went to Carson and tapped him on the nose which caused Carson to whimper, "Bad pup!" He yelled at him.

"Wait! Stop! It wasn't his fault! I followed him!" Jack said going to the wolf that was his boyfriend, he wrapped his arms around the poor wolf trying to calm him down.

"Carson could've still waited until you was asleep, now we know what happens don't we Carson?" His mother said.

Carson gulped and went into his human form, he walked up to his mom and she took the gun from him spinning the chamber.

"Russian roulette..?" Jack asked scared.

'They do this all the time and there are never any bullets in the gun but this time it's heavier.. meaning their are bullets in the chamber', Carson thought.

"Now pull the trigger kid..." Colin said.

Colleen and Jack watched anxiously as Carson pulled the trigger without hesitation, they heard a click and a bang.

Carson, still standing, moved the gun from his head at the last second and killed a deer still containing eye contact with his parents.

"You can't fool me, you never put a bullet in and today it was heavier meaning you didn't remove any of the bullets" Carson told them.

Colleen and Jack smiled in relief, "There's a good boy" Colin said patting his son on the back, "And Jack, don't tell anyone about this or I'll have the pack eat you-"

"I wont don't worry sir!" Jack said confidently.

"Enough with the threats, and cherry you find that I'm the Alpha not you so all I've got to say is, go find a new pack." Carson said. Cherry growled and ran away, "And as for you three... Why the heck would you leave me and then return!"

"Carson..-" Collen started but got cut off.

"Save it! I don't want to hear about it! I've been waiting over 4 weeks! I thought you weren't going to ever come home!" With that, Carson turned full wolf and sprinted back to the house and into his room, Jack didn't hesitate to follow. His legs weren't as fast but he still made it.

He ran into Carson's room seeing the younger boy curled up in his human form on the floor, slowly, he walked towards the upset male and lay next to him and held him in his arms, "Shhh, it's all ok pup..."

Carson slowly started to calm down, he sat up and hugged his boyfriend back, "Why would they leave knowing how much pain it causes me then return...?" Carson asked, "I dont get it.."

"I don't get it either Carson.." Jack sighed, "Also why didn't you tell me you were half wolf?"

"I was scared... and my parents told me not too because there are hunters out there that are after us like demons and vampires..." at the word vampires Jack froze but Carson continued talking about them, "Did you know that they can smell blood from 20 miles away? It's so cool oh and some types can transform so that they look human and when they are like that they don't get burnt!" Carson's tail started wagging as he continued, "I'd really like to meet one even though they are so called 'killers' I don't think they're killers, they just need food maybe they don't mean to kill!"

"They're eyes go red when they are hungry and they all have a different power! The most common is flying, the uncommon is teleportation, rare is being able to talk to and understand animals, ultra rare is being able to go into peoples dreams and then the one that is pretty much impossible to get is having all of them. There's only ever been one vampire that has had all four of those powers and no one knows where he is! They say he died because of the wolves and that's why they are supposedly killing us wolves..., but that's not true! He can't be dead because the only thing that can kill a vampire is-"

"Carson! That is enough with the vampire crap! If you really want to find one and let it kill you, then go in the centre of the woods!" Collin yelled at his son getting annoyed by the fact his son likes vampires and that it interests him.
