Life is supposed to be the most precious gift and I agree on that, but not everyone's perfect, the others should be thankful for everything their got. A home . A family and love.
I walk into the living room and cuddle up next to dad on the sofa. What a amazing man, gave his everything for me, to protect me and he's the only one who I love.
"Everything alright?"he held my hand. I nod and watched tv with him.
I'm thankful to have him by my side.
Minutes turned into hours and we were watching loads of stupid tv shows until there was no sound from him I slowly stand up and shut the tv, I was slowly walking towards my room and close the door behind me. I take a big breath and just jump onto my bed and check my phone and things. Until I got a text from my friend Tina.
Tina: are you going to school tomorrow?
Me: probably, I'm not sure...
Tina: don't worry! They won't catch us!
Me: They do nearly all the time!
Tina: Meet me down at the junction.
Me: I'll be there.
I got out of the bed and put my black ripped leggings and a cardigan on and slip into my shoes. I take my phone and open the window, I looked outside to see if there was anyone and jumped out, our house is a condo so it wasn't a big jump. Once I got outside I started to feel bad for dad, I hope he doesn't find out I'm gone. I then run all the way there. I wait by the traffic lights and see someone come towards me, it was Tina. She is 17, shes like a bigger sister to me. she had black hair and blue eyes, she was tall, she wasn't goth or anything.she came towards me smoking a cigarette while trying to blow rings. She threw the cigarette onto the ground and stepped onto it as we both smiled to each other. We then started walking towards the central park.
"Still smoking?" I asked looking at her.
"Yep, you know, I'd rather die young than old smelling of piss." she smiled and I gave a little laugh.
" How's school?" She asked about to burst out laughing.
"I don't know because someone named Tina got me excluded for 1 week." we both laughed.
"You know you need to make some friends." she looked at me as she lights another cigarette.
"I have friends." I looked down at the floor.
"Real friends." she looked at me. "you can't just pretend everything is alright now." she mumbled.
I stayed quiet because I knew if I was going to say something I'd just make things worse. We then got to the park and saw the rest of Tina's friends smoking and joking around. She sat on her boyfriends lap and I sat on the opposite bench.
"You brought Lourdes with you?." He looked at her."She's going through some rough times" she whispered to him.
I sat the whole time and watched them joke around. I checked my phone and it was nearly 1 in the morning.
"I think I'm gonna go." I said in a low voice while standing up. Tina stood up and hugged me, I could smell the smoke off her clothes. I then started walking home. My house was only 20 minutes away from the centre, there were still a few cars around. then I got a call from my best friend.
"Beth? Why are you calling this early?" I asked while trying to sound tired.
"Stop pretending to be asleep, I know you're going home right now, you just went past my house."she sounded mad.
"I was just hanging out with Tina that's all." I said.
"Just hanging out." she repeated what I said but in a sarcastic way.
"I'll see you tomorrow in school." I mumbled and hung up. I sneaked back into my room. took my shoes and hoodie off and just went to sleep
