FINALS R DONE AHAHAHA

Boo made his way across a cold, dark forest, like a streak in the night. The starry sky spanned endlessly above him, unknowing of the deed he had just committed. Apparently, it had been dark out for a while. Boo could never tell the time of day from down in the lab, he often had to squint at the color of the water to see if it was any darker or lighter.
Boo had left Neil behind. He had made his choice and still wasn't sure if he regretted it yet, it was too soon to tell. When he had climbed up the ladder to the surface, he found that the escape hatch at the top was completely surrounded by water on all sides,
'How did Neil get to and from this place?'.
Luckily, land wasn't too far away, maybe a few yards give or take, but Boo obviously had never set foot in any water, at least without suffering terrible burns and hearing the hiss of his own flesh...
However, Boo had a new form now and he wondered if the human in him could act as a buffer to his enderman side, only one way to find out. With the faint screaming of Neil down below to accompany him, Boo dipped his foot in the water and surprisingly was only met with a horribly uncomfortable feeling and very minimal pain.
'Better than dying'
Boo thought gruesomely as he fully immersed himself into the water, letting the uncomfortable wet feeling envelop him completely. Boo had seen wolves swim in the water a long time ago
(at least he was pretty sure he did...)
and tried to mimic the little doggy paddle they achieved in order to swim, and so far it was going... a bit awkwardly but it was getting the job done. He found that the lake he had been trapped in for so long was weirdly deep but then got shallow very quick towards the lakes edge.
Finally Boo reached the tiny beach that surrounded the lake and trudged on a little farther towards the grass before he finally bent over to catch his breath. He was dripping from every part of his body except his head which he had avoided bringing under water at all costs because the thought of getting water in his eyes or mouth scared him to death.
In an attempt to get some of the water off Boo shook his arms out first and then shook his legs one at a time before taking his new tail and wringing the water out of it. He found out that he most definitely did not like the feeling of wet hair (or fur?) on his hands.
Boo looked back at the opening of the escape hatch in the water. If he strained his ears enough he could still hear Neil screaming for help, for anyone to come and save him from what he so rightfully deserved. But it still made Boo feel gross inside. He tried to start walking away from the lake, to get the sound out of his head, but it now played continuously in his head, as if Neil himself were walking right next to Boo.
Boo began to sprint now. He constantly kept checking behind him though, just in case. He tried not to think about Neil dying, though he probably wasn't dead - not yet. Neil was like some sort of cockroach, disgusting and hard to kill. Still, images of Neil drowning kept flooding Boo's brain. He imagined Neil gasping for air but only getting mouthfuls of dirty water that filled up his lungs in all the wrong ways. Or he imagined him getting crushed by the collapsing base, before the water ever even graced his lips. These thoughts swarmed Boo's mind ruthlessly, like a hive of violent bees, almost distracting him from his own decreasing stamina from all the running.
Finally when Boo thinks he can run no more, he stops by a tree and collapses, leaning up against its rough base for support as he catches his breath. Boo looked down at his hands momentarily, the night breeze sweeping through the air, causing the leaves to shiver in response. Boo shivers as well. He thinks of how easy this could be if he could just teleport somewhere warm. Somewhere like that house he lived in briefly, with the fireplace and the fluffy cats that resided in its walls, though it's owner escapes his mind. Wasn't he important to Neil?
Boo lets these pointless thoughts float in his head for a while, they do their job at distracting him from a strange new phenomenon that was occurring. Boo's body was starting to feel a bit heavy, his eyes especially. It was like his whole body was shutting down or something. Boo himself didn't even notice until he realized he wasn't sitting anymore, but rather standing up. Everything around him was different too, it was no longer a lush dark forest, but rather a barren wasteland with long black pillars jutting from the ground, almost touching the purple skies above. There was also a strange egg in atop a structure in the middle of these towers, yet the place was eerily empty.
Boo could feel a sense of nostalgia rise up in the back of his mind, but for what? He had no memory of this place. Or at least, he was pretty sure he didn't... Did he?
"You do." spoke a voice right in front of him.
Boo froze. It was Neil, except, it wasn't.
Neil still had his stark white hair and gleaming red eyes, but he now also adorned a pair of black dragon wings, and his hands were pitch black, with claws jutting out from the ends of them.
Before Boo could wrap his head around Neil's new appearance he was cut off by Neil again.
"Don't you remeber this place Boo?" He gestured around,
"Is it not familiar?"
Boo shook his head,
"I don't-"
"You ran away from here the moment you could, the moment you were done fulfilling your duty. Just like you ran away from me."
Suddenly, they were back at the lab, it was just as Boo had left it. Cracked and quickly filling with water from all angles. Neil still stood in front of him, but he no longer looked like some weird mob hybrid. He looked half rotted, as if he had been left under water for months. His eyes were completely gone and he was even missing an ear. His skin was a slimy shade of green and his hair was still dripping with lake water.
"HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ME!"
oh he was yelling now...
"HOW COULD YOU RUN YOU COWARD!" Emotion laced every word Neil spat out. Guilt fell on Boo's soul like a pile of rocks. He had already felt a bit bad about the situation, but this was the icing on the cake.
"I GUESS THATS WHAT YOU DO BEST HUH, YOU RUN FROM YOUR PROBLEMS. YOU RAN AWAY FROM THE END, YOU RAN AWAY FROM MATTHEW, AND YOU RAN AWAY FROM ME!" Neil was crying now, a mixture of blood and tears cam from his eye sockets, spilling down into the small body of water that was collecting at both of their feet.
"WELL KEEP ON RUNNING LITTLE ENDER-BOY! BUT JUST KNOW THAT ILL ALWAYS BE HERE, TRAPPED IN THE COLD, DARK REMAINS OF THIS SUNKEN BUILDING. SO KEEP FLEEING FROM YOUR MISTAKES! BUT I'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW YOU RAN, BOO!"
The world around Boo went dark. He felt something drip down onto his own foot and realized, he too had started to cry. Wiping the tears, he looked around him, it was still pitch black, like some kind of void. Boo got the weird sensation that someone else should have been talking to him right about now, like an old friend, or foe? Maybe someday he would remember who that was...
Boo's eyes shot open. He felt a cold shiver pass through him. He was back in the forest, still leaning against a hard oak tree in the dead of night. Had he... fallen asleep? He had never done that before, he thought it would be a more peaceful experience to be honest.
Boo thought back to his... dream? He guessed that's what it was. Neil's last worde were looping in his mind,
"BUT I'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW YOU RAN, BOO!"
He brought his hands to his face and began to cry again, he had run away, it was what he was good at. Boo let out a heartless laugh as he thought of something morbidly funny.
He should call himself, Ranboo.
