Chapter 4: working diligently👩🏽‍💻 pt2

Minho and Jisung POV. Anything in italics are thoughts of the person. Also after this chapter it's gonna get some drama in the story. I promise.

Author POV:

After the meeting Jisung and Minho began talking to each other. The two boys were smiling and giggling while the other was talking. They both felt something for the other but they knew that it was dangerous to let their feelings get in the way as the other could be an imposter or even worse, get killed by one.

"hey, where are you going for this round" minho asked

"I have to go to communications to do a downloads task, how about you?" the boy replied

"I have to go to reactor, do you want to meet up after you finish there?" minho asked shyly asked the younger.

The younger looked at the other in shock at the question that was asked. The younger felt the crimson creep up on his cheeks.

"uh-h, yes I-I would actually" the younger stuttered while covering his face.

"g-great um let's meet up in Admin because I have to do card swipe."

"okay, I have card swipe as well so that's perfect"

They bid each other goodbye before leaving to do their tasks.

Minho POV:

I strolled down from Cafeteria towards storage as I figured it was the quicker route than going through weapons. I had gotten into storage and took a turn into the hallway going to Communications.  I kept walking down the hallway which was illuminated brightly by the lights until I saw the doorway for Communications. I walked into the room and looked for where I could find my download task to be. Once I finally found my task I decided to start it so that I could quickly go and meet Jisung in Admin.

"ugh why does this stuff always take so long to complete" I sighed. I was depressed that my task was taking so long as I felt safer being with someone else.

I wonder if Jisung is okay? Hopefully an imposter didn't get him.

All the bad thoughts were flooding my mind, I wanted to fight them but I wasn't strong enough and ended up giving in.

Minho, help me please! Help the imposter is chasing me he's going to kill me please help!

This sentence haunted me, It made me start to break down in front of my task. The thought of him getting killed felt like a knife to the chest. I kept sobbing until I heard the dashboard of the computer beep.

"It's about time this finished, I need to go check on Jisung now!"

I snatched my tablet and cord from the computer and booked it out of the room. I was impatient running towards storage when all of a sudden the lights cut out on me. I immediately froze. Everything went dark and I couldn't see. I looked down and saw that I had a dim flashlight in my pocket. I took out the flashlight and proceeded to make my way to Admin to see if Jisung was there waiting.

"Jisung? Jisung?  Hello?"

He wasn't answering me and I was starting to get paranoid. I heard footsteps come into Admin and I ducked behind the table.

I'm trapped. God please I'm too young to die.

Jisung POV:

I had just left Minho in the Cafeteria to go to Reactor. I skipped down the hall towards the Upper Engine. I kept skipping happily until I heard voices in Medbay. My body jolted to a stop, I began to start trembling. I went inside Medbay to investigate who it was but when I looked nobody was there. I kept looking until I heard the vent close, I covered my mouth as I gasped to prevent myself from getting caught. I dashed out of Medbay and didn't stop till I reached the doorway of the reactor.

"o-h m-y g-o-d" was what I wheezed out, I had my hand on the door frame as I was trying to catch my breathe.

After I finally caught my breathe, I walked inside the reactor.

"Ugh where is that Simon Says task?"  I said as I walked around the room, looking around until I eventually found the task.

I started my Simon Says task, but I kept messing up because I would let my thoughts take over. I took a break from doing the task as it was frustrating me that I kept messing it up. I ended up just standing there letting my mind get consumed in my thoughts.

Ugh I hope Minho is okay, I can't bear to see him die.

I hate being alone, this is scary.

I don't want to die.

I finally brought myself back out of my thoughts, I had made up my mind that I was completing this task as quickly as possible so that I can go meet Minho in Admin.

"yes! I'm done. Don't worry Minho, I'm coming!" I said to myself.

I ran out the room and back down the hall towards the Upper Engine. I had got all the way around into the Cafeteria when the lights had shut off. I tripped over myself as I tried to stop myself from moving any further. I let out a yelp as I felt my body come down on my hands.  I dragged myself up off the ground and felt my pockets to see if I had a flashlight.  As soon as I found my flashlight I proceeded to walk down the hall and into Admin.

I was startled when I heard rustling inside. I walked into Admin slowly.

I can hear someone breathing. O lord what am I walking into.

"Hello? Is anyone there? Minho is that you?"

Okay guys sorry to make y'all wait for this update. I got writers block and school was assigning tons of work for me to do.  But I'm back and you'll hopefully have another chapter soon. This story is somewhat planned but not really. I write every chapter after I publish the one before.  If you like the book so far don't forget to give it a vote and share it with friends!
