Smokey purple gray clouds consumed the dark sky. Only the slim crescent moon peeked through them, overwhelming the sky with its humongous appearance. Its light shined through the darkness, outlining the jagged, sharp shapes of the huge mountain range all around. A hazy indigo and magenta purple fog hovered within the mountains' valleys.
There, in the midst of the mountains stood a dark building. It stood alone, high above the fog, resting on the side of a mountain's jagged rocky edge. A thick wall of large pointed rocks surrounded it, appearing to stab its outer wall, seemingly holding its structure in place.
The building was fairly large and very tall. Its shape nearly mimicked that of a daunting castle. It had several tall spiky spires, each of different heights. All of its many windows illuminated with a dark purple glow.
Its most prominent feature, however, was the distinct and large crescent moon shape at its top. Its shape stretched out across the entire structure, almost as large as the real crescent moon appeared high in the sky.
Inside it was dark. Dark, silent, cold and empty. Only a soft purple glow illuminated the room's edges, revealing stone gray floors and walls outlined with dusty bookshelves, each chaotically filled with books, scrolls, random artifacts, stones, and gems.
Suddenly, a jagged black-hole like portal with a faint lavender outline appeared in midair. Seconds later, two dark cloaked figures walked out of it, one holding a tall staff. Behind them, a large owl flew in. Following came another dark cloaked figure, this one holding a book close to their chest.
As soon as the four came through, the portal disappeared. The two sides of the figure's staff shrunk back into the handle, which she placed back inside her cloak.
For a moment, no one said anything. They all just looked towards the figure with the book, the figure whose eyes and fingertips were glowing a bright magenta purple.
Her gaze never left the book in her hand. She just stared at its dark purple cover, at the indigo outlined rounded edged diamond shape at its center, which glowed the same magenta purple color as her eyes.
The large owl swooped down, landing swiftly on the figure's shoulder. Its round gleaming red eyes tinted with yellow followed her gaze. The other two figures crowded around them. Everyone was staring at the book now, its glow illuminating their shadow covered faces.
Frantically, the purple eyed figure flipped through the book's pages, skimming each one. Dust particles flew through the air, but she was unfazed. Only when she reached the very last page did she stop. The page had rips all along its edges, one huge tear in the bottom right corner, yet its writing wasn't damaged at all.
Her magenta purple eyes studied the page intently. It was filled with strange symbols, yet the symbols weren't so strange to the figure.
"So it's true... The spell is real," the purple eyed figure breathed with a sense of awe as she gently ran her gloved hand across the page.
"All of these spells... they're all real," she continued.
"Indeed," the red eyed owl spoke, its tufts twitching eagerly.
The two shared a quick glance and devious smirk.
"I can't believe we actually found it. After all this time," another figure with a lower pitched voice stated, seemingly shocked. His silver gray blue eyes widened in disbelief.
"I never doubted you," a softer voiced figure proudly admitted, admiringly looking up at the purple eyed figure with her lavender gray eyes.
The other rolled his eyes at her remark. The purple eyed figure however gave her a small smile.
