"Happy Birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Jimiiin! Happy birthday to you!" everyone cheered. "Make a wish!" Jungkook exclaimed. Jimin thought of a wish while staring at the candle in his hand because the cake hasn't arrived. Not only that, Yoongi wasn't there yet either. He was missing out on the party. After he blew the candle, everyone cheered a little before settling down and bringing out snacks. After setting up all the drinks and the chips on the coffee table, a knock could be heard from the door, "I'll get it," he stood up and opened the door to a delivery of a certain food. He gasped before exclaiming happily, "Cake!" He grabbed the box and bowed to the man before going back in and opening it up, smelling the scrumptious aroma.
"Tiramisu! Thank you!" Jimin thanked Jungkook who had bought it for him with his slightly broken and Japanese accent heavy Korean. "It's no big deal, I just thought you liked this flavor," he said, smiling sweetly. Jimin tilted his head, unable to understand what the other said as he spoke in a dialect, "He just said it's nothing much," Taehyung chimed in with his Caprisun in hand. Jimin let out a hum of realization before grabbing the nearest spoon and chowing down, "You can have it all, Jimin-Kun," Taehyung said. The younger shrugged before continuing to enjoy his birthday gift.
Everything was going smoothly and they were all sitting on the floor playing a game of truth or dare after just playing twister. Hoseok suddenly stood up and said, "I'll go to the restroom quickly, I'll be right back," they left for the bathroom while the others kept chattering. After a couple of minutes, Jimin started feeling dizzy and unwell. He tried to ignore it and drank some water but it didn't work so he slowly got up and head for the bathroom. He knocked before entering, "Come in," Hoseok said from the other side. The droopy and dizzy eyes of the other raised some concern, "Are you okay?" Jimin shook his head a little, "I feeling... Dizzy? Head hurt," the other hummed before grabbing some pills from the cabinet, "Here, take these down with some water. You'll be alright in a bit," the redhead smiled, "Thank you," he said sincerely.
He headed out with the pills in hand. He quickly downed them with some water and a few minutes later, he was feeling better. He sat back down in the circle and chattered again with them. Everything was as normal as it can get. All went down smooth until Yoongi came. Then Seokjin came with a revelation, "Is there something different this time," he said under his breath, "What could that be?" Hoseok eavesdropped on him and sipped on their juice before asking, "What do you mean?" "In the last timeline, Jimin is supposed to... Die, or at least go unconscious," The other sipped again before doing a lip smack and muttered out, "That's dark," the older sighed a little before sitting down and rubbing his head in frustration, "This is going nowhere, should we just ditch it?" Hoseok raised their voice in protest, "No way! We worked really hard to get this far, I know we'll get there," they smiled. "Thanks, maybe I should look into this further," "Yeah! That's the spirit!"
All was well before there was a knock at the door and everything stopped for two seconds before Jimin answered it himself. As he opened the door, a slender woman with a fan in hand greeted him, "Hi, my little prin--" "Goodbye!" He slammed the door on her before she opened it again herself and walked in like it was her house, "The hell!? Who invited you in, Rinnu?" She giggled before pinching his cheeks, "You're very cute when you're angry! So adorable~" Jimin groaned in annoyance before sighing and finally introducing her, "Everyone, this is Rinnu. She is my... friend," he was struggling to find a word to replace 'My spirit roommate'. Everyone stared at her in admiration; she was tall, looked very dominant, had very deep golden eyes, a deep, sultry, and soothing voice and very noticeable... melons. She looked as if she walked straight out of a Hentai Game, Kimono and all.
Everyone politely greeted her with a warm smile before she turned to Jimin with confusion plastered on her face, "Why aren't they intimidated by my presence? They should be fearing me and bowing down to me. Such pathetic hu--" "Hey, nice cosplay, Rinnu! I like the Shrine Maiden look you got going on," Jungkook casually mentioned to her. She continued rambling in a whisper, "What did he say?" "He said he liked the way you dress. He thinks it's a cool costume," "But this IS my costume?" Jimin sighed, "He doesn't mean THAT costume. It's... Whatever. Come drink some sake!" He gestured her to sit next to him at the big table with the punch and Sake, as well as the various snacks and kanoodle candy dishes he had lying about. He smiled at her before speaking up, "You know, you're a good friend. Sometimes you're a little demanding but to be fair, you are keeping my spirit and body alive so," he paused, drinking his wine in hand, "I guess I owe you a lot." She smiled, "Yu-- I-I mean, Jimin... You have repaid my services constantly, you provided me your host body for me to experience your world, you provided a vessel for my life's extension. I think you have done enough for me right now. I need you and you need me, like pen and ink. The author won't find any use in just one of them without the other, how would she write her lonely songs of somber or poems of myth?" She exhaled out, "She?" "Heian period. Nearly all of the women I chat with are bored for the most part," Rinnu stood up before looking around and examining Jimin's friends closely.
She felt, for the first in a while, a sense of comfort in seeing this small circle of friends being around each other and interacting with another. It was a strange world to her; Humans can be so ruthless to each other but can also be social and comfortable around each other. It felt so black and white for her but there is a whole spectrum of gray in between that she had not acknowledged. She turned back towards the table before bowing to Jimin a little, "I will be going. I have some important matters to attend to. Goodbye," "O-oh... Okay. Thanks for stopping by," she smiled one last time, "It was my pleasure. Happy Birthday." And with that, she turned around to the door and left. Jimin kept sipping on his drink and enjoying the party but Rinnu leaving just like that made it a bit empty but she is always there anyway, she'll just be out of the way; hidden, transparent. Sometimes the two just chatted in his head and in extreme cases, argued fiercely.
Taehyung walked up to Jimin on the table, "Yoooo... why do you look kinda sad? Also, where'd your friend go?" He snapped out of his thoughts and stuttered out in a surprise, "O-oh... Sh-she go home," "Oh," he sat down beside him, "You look tired. I mean, it's pretty late. Do you want to get to bed?" The other nodded a little before Taehyung helped him onto the couch. The others turned towards him and got worried, "Are you okay?" Seokjin asked, "He's sleepy. Probably a little too drunk, and it's pretty late so he'll just sleep here for a while." Namjoon pouted and complained, "Aww, but we were about to play Jenga!" "Namjoon!" "S-Sorry..."
"I volunteer to keep him company and make sure he sleeps comfortably," Yoongi exclaimed while raising his hands up like he is at an auction, "Cool, we'll go and hang in the other living room so it's quieter," "Have fun, you guys. I'll be sleeping here." The blondie looked over at Jimin, "Knocked out cold, huh?" he giggled mockingly, "Can't handle as much alcohol as I thought you would." He scootched Jimin a little so he could snuggle a little beside him.
"Goodnight, you idiot..." "And, fuck you... too..."
