This was the first nightmare I'd had in 8 years. I could remember it for over a week before I decided to write it down. I only have 1 date here because I can never fall asleep before midnight. The numbers are the level of fright caused on a scale from 1 (being a little unnerving) to 10 (scared out of my skull)

I was sitting on my bed with lights on, so I didn't know if it was day or night. I wasn't listening to music, which is rare for me. Jeff the killer was sitting on my desk chair, staring at me with those never-blinking eyes of his. He was between me and the door. After a few minutes, he diverted his attention to toying with his blood-soaked knife. His hoodie was so bloody, I had a hard time telling it was white. After what seemed like an hour of him playing around with his knife, occasionally looking up at me, he wiped it off on the one clean spot on his hoodie, and started sharpening it with a rock and cloth, the cloth was supposedly to avoid scratching the blade. While doing that, he started humming what I could tell was The Nameless by Slipknot (I hadn't heard it yet at the time, which was creepy). When the song ended, I was overcome by an irrational feeling of dread. He got up from the chair, walked over to me, kneeled down, showed me his freshly sharpened knife (IT WAS FUCKING SHARP!), covered my mouth, said his signature line, and stabbed me in the throat. IT FUCKING HURT! I don't know how I didn't die instantly, but I was still breathing (or at least, trying to breathe) when I woke up. My throat was sore for the rest of the day.
